I remember checking the transfer list to see if a player was on it.

so in the early days there wasn't even anyone available to sign? interesting...
the insanely high prices paid for older players makes a lot more sense now. all 3 rounds of the draft must have really mattered too.

Really interesting article on Antoine Walker & his post-NBA life:

Don't normally read anything sports-related, but heard people talking about it. Was surprisingly good.

Definitely worth the time for anyone really.

I remember paying around 1m for this player (2255545) who didnt have a skill higher then respectable. Though, almost all of his skills were respectable and he could play pretty much anywhere, was was rare find in the early seasons.

Actually, one of the funnier things i recall from the first couple seasons is that many teams were complaining about bot teams being too good. Back then, bot stomping had a different meaning

You paid closer to 2 for him. I'm pretty sure that was the highest fee paid at the time. He had exactly 7 in every skill. He was probably one of the best SFs in the game for a couple more seasons.

After is career is over, I wonder if his income goes up or down from his current 25k d-league salary.

How much does a welfare cheque give you?

I hope he finds something else he likes to do.

na, he's good, no post-game injury.

keeping it close, but dont have a backup SF now. you really have to be determined to try to win games on the road. HCA is strong enough that it's prob in your best interest to throw games for training and save the best lineup for blowing out cup games in the first half of the season.

for some reason, it seems worse then it did many seasons ago. could just be perception.
