Could be a Season defining game tonight for HA.

On paper HA should win but when you consider the game is played at Bonbeach and that it is both a rival and TV game, I have to think its probable that the gulls will come out flying.

Might be a blessing in disguise if HA lose at it could then fully focus on the relegation series rather than having the slightest delusions of chasing pancakes

A win tonight could be the start for Yoda having a run at avoiding demotion

I had him bookmarked as well, a great Aussie player. Why is everyone suddenly so Australian? I feel surrounded by patriots, only one foreign player on my team and he has been with me since season 10 so is probably naturalised.

Pancakes looked to have sured up the SF position with their 2 recent purchases.

The market is a little bit crazy and all over the place at the moment.

Was a bit surprised that Tricksters' Fosco and Koops' Asghari didnt sell at what seemed reasonable asking prices.

Age and high weekly salaries are not that fashionable at the moment but this might change in the next fortnight.

I reckon HAs 8th most expensive player Nefi might sell for more than HA's two most expensive players combined (Galeano & Pandiani) which is ridiculuos

Big games on Tuesday include Zazz v Iwen and Hadders v Pancakes

I dont think anyone would be surprised to see a few more purchases prior to Tuesdays games

I have bookmarked every decent SF on the market and have been looking every day or two for the last two to three weeks. I even have a thread in our federation dedicated to all of them with their skills, listing prices and sale prices. But I never saw the one C-Cat just bought. Mind you all that means is that he is below at least one of my parameters like OD for example.

If you enter SF, salary of $40,000 or more and selling price of $800,000 or less have a look at what pops up. Not one decent player in my opinion. So either C-Cat got the bargain of the new year or he has a player that can do some things well, but has some serious flaws.

Even though Barton is 6th on my team in salary I would be amazed if he didn't have the highest value, mind you the other guys aren't that great anyway.

Oliver 600-750 (that makes me cry)
Garth 400-600
Vallo 600-1M
Mu no TPE but around a million.
Barton no TPE but at least a million.
Kumar no TPE but at least 500k
Rene no TPE but I paid 500k and have single position trained him ever since with level 5 or 6 trainer so shouldn't have declined.

So my team is worth close to nothing, after all these seasons, makes you sad. I have made more tanking these few weeks than the combined value of everything I had before.

I tried to sell a guy last week for 2.2 without luck and then last night a guy with almost identical skills but 40k higher salary sells for 2.3 .... go figure. But it is getting to the stretch run for playoffs now so prices should start slowly creeping up for a little bit now

and asghari is currently at 13k so looks like he will be finding a new home early Wednesday morning .... could he bounce back in the the ABBL AGAIN????

Wouldnt be surprised if Asghari was acquired by one of the teams in the ABB

Maybe those fighting it out this season but he is a bad long term investment. Next season his skills will be dropping and so will his value, however as a "rental" he could be fantastic, he has been the best player on Koops 12-4 team.

So Koops, why at 12-4 are you selling your best player? Don't tell me you are going to tank out the season?????
