We were wondering about this here in Slovakia few weeks ago:

Almost all point records of countries are made with Patient tactics.

So I played it and here are results:
(32673288) PG takes 39% of all shots - 45p, PF takes 30% of all shots - 39p - private league
(33310779) PG takes 33% of all shots - 37p, PF takes 21% of all shots - 16p - league, played with TIE
(33310787) PG takes 45% of all shots - 55p, SG takes 17% of all shots - 20p - league, played with TIE
(33309298) C takes 50% of all shots - 42p - cup match, played with TIE
(33310795) SF takes 38% of all shots - 41p - league, played with TIE
(35564222) PF takes 43% of all shots - 54p - cup match, played with TIE

Yeah, my team was unbalanced - 130k PG (already sold) and 67k PF are way better than anyone else in team, so that is why they took shots (?)

I also tried it in one NT friendly match:
(14616) SG takes 31% of all shots - 49p

Here players are not so unbalanced.

Maybe it is about driving skill of players?

Well, for me yes. But it is really subjective, cause every team in my league is way weaker.

Patient is a great tactic when you are the superior team.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Can you elaborate?

And do you think the converse is true? Why?

Then again princeton, for example, is a great way to slow it down in hopes of avoiding injuries.

Is this an assumption or is there any evidence that pace is correlated with the risk of injury?

I think that if you have a distinct advantage on offense, patient will find the highest percentage shot, helping you score a lot of points. Likewise as you are running more time off the clock your opponent won't have as many opportunities to score.

(26716922) (26716882)

Here are two examples of my team being superior to my opponent and running up huge wins.
No, I don't think patient is as good a tactic against a superior opponent, although the game manual suggests as much.
