Just helping add data some people might think is useful. My 23 C/PF played grand total of 15 minutes last week, went up to Proficient GS this week from Strong. His DMI almost doubled, it's also the highest DMI he has this season (I was training 1 on 1 for Forwards past few weeks, he didn't pop anything). 15 minutes because last scrim he got injured in the first minute of the game.

So... I know maybe there are many other factors that count/come into play but... strong to prof GS by just playing 15 minutes the whole week??

Previous week he dropped from prof to strong (I'm not going to say because) playing 84 minutes.

If it helps, he has awful stamina. If it also helps, we're playing the 2nd best team in the league this week...

I'm going crazy about this GS thing.

I guess the random factor when calculating his GS was heavily in your favour. I had some strange variations of DMI and GS too in previous seasons, but now I am finally able to understand most of it and currently I'm able to have all players constantly at least on mid-level of Strong GS, if not Proficient.

I thought I figured it out too (at least I THOUGHT!), as before the All-Star week, 9/12 were prof, 2 strong, 1 respectable (injured). I'm slowly building up the team's average GS again hoping for everyone to be in good shape before the playoffs, but now I have more material to ponder upon.

offtopic: are you pondering what I'm pondering?

on:
I haven't got any conclusive data other than my awareness upon my players, but i think it;s safe to say that stamina doesn't play a considerable role in GS. i have a guy with 1, another with 3, and another with 5. they all play within the range of 45-60 mins/week and drop/pop almost randomly. Every player may have a minute "hot spot" which may make it quite hard to determine a general formula, however i doubt it.

My trainee also consistently plays 48 mins/week(in a single game, since this came up) and stays within GS 9 almost always(excluding 1 week due to injury). However, a friends' trainee plays the exact same way and in three consecutive weeks went from 9 to 8 and now 7. I can honestly says that GS is mind boggling to say the least.

Ineteresting.
That's a good point but it doesn't always work... form me the most determinant element is the single player. I have a olde ceter always in a good shape playing just 45-50 min. But usually you need to stay around 60m.
Just my poor experience...

Here's some more data for you...

I'm not sure, but I don't think GS is related to stamina. I think it's more of an accumulation of two or three weeks of minutes played. I've got three big guys, and here are their minutes over the last 3 weeks:

Sept.17/20  Total          Sept.24/27  Total        Oct.1/4    Total    Current  GS
Player  1:       35/20         55                 23/35          58             21/38       59         Proficient
Player  2:       34/31         65                 25/30          55             27/33       60         Strong
Player  3:       34/35         69                 27/38          65             27/36       63         Strong

I've got a Massage Doctor, so I'm a little surprised I'm not seeing Proficient GS for all three players.

I have a question about a Game Shape for players who play more then 90 minutes, say 110 minutes.
I'm talking about a week where I have 3 important games, and I let my best players playing in all games.

So those player will play over 90 minutes in a week, and the other players play maybe less then 48 minutes.

Will the GS of my players be worst in next week when I have GS on training? What will happen?

Thanks.

This is where we hold them!

i think 48-75min per week is the best.my players all keep the Gameshapes with 8-9 for a long time.

Yeah, i think that's the best as well, but what coaching tactics do you use to keep your game shape at that level? If you don't mind me asking? I was thinking of using let the coach decide or coach picks from the depth chart; maybe that's how its done to keep 48-75, i was pretty successful this week at getting a bunch of game shape raises, my starters and my 'main' bench players have mostly strong and proficient as well, maybe respectable or two out there.

Yes , there are 11 player in my team, and I let 9 players in lineup. We have 3 matches in one week,2 league matches and 1 SC,so I have 3 trainee , put 1 of them in a match on traning position for 48 min.The other 8 players are 4 starters and 4 backups.
I give my players the numbers as #1- #11.
1st match[league]
Starter:#1PG(trainee1) #4SG #6SF #8PF #10C
Backup:#1PG(trainee1) #5SG #7SF #9PF #11C
2nd match[league]
Starter:#2PG(trainee2) #4SG #6SF #8PF #10C
Backup:#2PG(trainee2) #5SG #7SF #9PF #11C
3rd match[SC]
Starter:#3PG(trainee3) #5SG #7SF #9PF #11C
Backup:#3PG(trainee3) #4SG #6SF #8PF #10C
Substitutions:Strictly Follow Depth Chart
Offense:Push the ball[Look inside/Motion]
Denfense:Man to Man[32/23/1and4]
Foul Trouble:Let them play

in my opinion 48 minuts is to less. better is 55 - 75 min. when my players played one match in week (48 min) they often has GS 7.
