I have done in with the NT many times and it has always worked perfectly. I also did it twice last season in PL. I suspect the issue could be the current structure of my team. Yes I have 11 players, but 1 is injured, 3 are total scrubs and 1 is an 18 year old trainee. That leaves just 6 competent players Barton 24k PG trainee, Oliver 35k SG, Mu 26k SF, Garth 30K PF, Jared 62K C and Kumar a 10K PG trainee. Now the lineup seems very clear to me but perhaps with so few competent players the GE couldn't work out a good lineup with starters and backups so reverted to rubbish.

i am pretty sure, you just forgot to change strictly follow to coach decide in your standard lineup. At least in my team, the coach start to sub randomly when i didn't do it while he worked fine with coach picks.

Mystery solved. Yes 99% of the time I use strictly follow depth chart as training is all I really care about this season and when I loaded the former match tactics it was still selected. A ball for you!

PS: With no lineup how does the coach strictly follow it?

i believe strictly follow means, that you talk with your coach before that he should act brain neutral :)

I accidently tried that in this game: (42199897) and it seemed to me that the coach chose players either by age or experience. He didn't consider suggested position or skills as you will easily see. I was very surprised by his starting 5.

It's bit off-topic, but didn't want to create new thread. So is Blank Lineup is when you literally leave every spot empty or you only put in subs or leave positions you want the coach to decide what to put?

totally blank, but i think you could choose some positions from your behaviour. But don't think that putting player A as PG and leave the backup and reserve open work, in this case the backup will not play a lot or nothing.

that it rate defence lower then most managers is imho right, but passing get valued by the system i am quite sure ;)

If you believe they don't play it, and just say it works it is relativ easy to see if they play it or not in the match report and often also in the boxscore.
