hi guys,

sorry i havent been very active these days, i'm in asia and bb news are not that great maybe i was overconfident vs revo, but i didnt have much choice and had to rest some starters, since my cup draw is not a gift. i almost beat the angels tho

anyway i knew that if there was one game to drop in the first round, it was vs revo, but now i am ready to face ventola! and no matter what happens: i love this game too ;)

First of all, i am very pleased with my first part of season. A 4-3 record is the best start i ever had in Bbbl.
My only disapointment is my loss at Mumu. Maybe i should have tried to win against Liege rather than Mumu...

First inter confercence games are for tomorrow. And I still don't know what to do vs Popotams because of my cup game on Thursday vs Falco... Like you said "it's a game of choices"

i got lucky in my game against Mizu. For the rare exception, Deseure wasn't in proficient shape ( must have been teh second week or so, if i don't include the starting weeks since season 18) So that gave me a big advantage.

And sure, some teams got some pretty rough match ups in the cup this week already, forcing them to make some choices. Some managers try to win all the games, others sacrific a game and play it safe by securing 2 wins...

I certainly don't have the same lvl of opponent as you guy's, but an away game against a III who decided to play CT when you won't have any of your starters, is kinda risky. However, as said before, i'm aiming for the 5th spot this season. I need to rebuild my team, and my economy is really killing me. Once the 5th spot is secure, i'll be selling off a several key players ( ammongst which Fleeton) and tank the next BBBL season,g etting a max ammount of cash and then go down, rebuild my team a bitt, and come back in 3 or 4 seasons time with a younger strong squad again.

Fleeton is without a doubt a great player, but if i'm going to tank, he's going to have to go ( i don't really want to part with him, but i haven't got taht many options...) I need to get some salary efficient players, caue right now, i'm pulling alot of nice players, but who are kinda overpaid for what they are doing on my team... (Ottevaere is one of them right now, but i can't get myself to put him on the TL...)

And finally KV Forever. It's not a surprise to find him at the last place; in fact it's allready a good performance to have won one game. The injury of Careta didn't help him, but it's not very important I think. He's still in the tournament, he has currently the first pick for the next draft and he has won one game. Not bad.

Like stated before, i'm only here in BBBL to make some money.
I didn't even try to buy some players although i have the cash.

I saw a chance against AnGi and i took it, because i didn't want to end the season without any victory.

This is my second passage in BBBL... i aim to get back in a few seasons.
In my third passage i will make a real attempt to stay in BBBL (i should have money enough to buy a whole new team then)

if i look back at the season, i'm pretty satisfied.

I got 2 OT wins under my belt, which is great for extra XP on players, since Ot minutes count for alot more when it comes to XP. Considering that i wasn't able to set up lines up unless well in advance, i'd dare say that i've done more than just good.

If i had had more time, i probably would have gone for the win against Joe, but though luck their. As for sonics, if he trains all those SF/PF type of players he has, and sells 2 of them or so, then he's going to have a major cash in right their, to buy him pieces that could set him up for multiple championships...

And concerning my economy, it's not that bad. I'm more or less break even over the whole season. However, the problem is that i've got a pretty old roster, and that i can't get any decent value selling off a player to replace him with a decent young player, without giving up everything. Moreover, I've been trying hard to get the players that i want in my team, but the players that i'm looking for just don't exist on the TL ( or they do exit, but don't have the belgian Nationlity)

So that is why i've decided to go down, back to II. That way, i can train the players i want, shape them into what i really want, and come back with team that will contain several problematic match-ups for alot of teams. I think being in II is much more boring than being in the BBBL, so i hope i won't regret my decision ( i'll also be stepping back on NT duties, since it's time someone else got a shot at that job... The only reason i might be candidate again in season 21, is because their isn't any decent candidate to take over, because i'd hate to see all those hard efforts go to waste. But that is stuff for some other time...)

I've got a few projects ( ammongst which a redesign of the forum, which was put on halt due to exams, and has remained on halted afterwards due to severals things, ammongst which my health issues) that i'd like to take care off, in an effort to get more Belgian managers involved in this game. It's pretty depressing to be in the mibbit chat, seeing only 2 to 4 other managers during gametime or when NT/U21 plays their games...

If you look at the other fora ( The Netherlands, France and even England) then their is more forum activity their than their is here. An external forum isn't an option, since we've got to many languages and i know that since in Belgium, we all speak french or dutch, communicating isn't that easy (and for that reason, alot of us use english to overcome that problem) but their has to be a way to get more people involved within our community than that their are now. In other countries (Netherlands, France, just to name those again) people follow the NT, discuss their results, etc etc... In Belgium, except for the BBBL forum, nearly all other fora are dead. The Belgian big forum is hardly ever used, and other than Joe, LoD, myself or the exceptional comment from a BBBL manager, nobody even seems to care about NT ( for U21, it's GM-Arsji, Angi, Joe, LoD, myself and thats more or less everyone who ever posted on the U21 forum lately.

This community seems to rely on the efforts of a few people who are working hard for it ( excluding the former and current BB staff members, that would be Joe, Sum, Polle, Nico, Sonics, Jona and that is about it. the former manager of Shasta should maybe be put their in that list of names aswell). Very soon, one of our most oldest and hardest contribuating Belgian manager will be leaving the game, and most likely, 90% of all belgian BB managers won't even have known his name or what he did for the community...

well it's just the way it is. and even though the active ones would like to see diffrent, there's not so much we can do about it...

Just take things as they come and enjoy. The ones who are active might not be many, but their presence counts.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

Interesting to see how your team will perform this week ! First of all, a difficult away (tv) game at Pokola tonight, then vs Boes on tuesday and on thursday at Tienen for the cup...
