for me, the tough thing would to be in Sid's shoes.

in the last two seasons, teams have promoted, when he could have simply bought up and won the league and promoted, he was in a sufficient ladder position and has enough cash or at least players to sell and then buy, to have won both seasons.

For me, watching two opportunities pass by without making a move would be a very hard pill to swallow.

Its a luxury at the same time though
And im not taking anything away from Windies or Sundae, they both won fair and square, but at the end of the day, if im sitting here with millions in the bank or millions in player talent that i could sell, and buy up to win the league, and i choose not to..... then it begs the question of would I be able to handle a third season of watching someone else promote when I could simply buy up and promote?
End of this season his two trainee's salaries will probably pop to about $40k-ish, so thats gonna add another $40k-ish total to his expenses - not enough to worry him I wouldnt think - so he could comfortably sit here in Div II again until end of next seasons expenses wise

problem is - is that we have all seen what Crockers did to Vios back in season 19. So if Sid passes by an easy opportunity to promote again this season - then next season, another 'Crockers' scenario happens, you would be ruing 3 potential opportunities to promote and money lost.
The bigger problem for Sid is that EVERYONE knows the above situation and can plan for (or for those will evil-ness in them) plan against this.

the plot thickens.................

Promoting to the ABBL is not such a big deal for me as ive done it twice before and spent a bit of time up there.

However for someone like yourself or Team Akuma who hasnt been there before i can imagine how important it would be to you.

I made the decision to demote from the ABBL and by buying up 18 year olds and opting to train them in single position, i consciously made a decision to stay out of the ABBL

Awesome and Windies are both extremely good managers and fact was i couldnt beat Windies last season with his home court advantage unless i had of sold players who i didnt want to sell.

Given im training mostly IS skills this season to my 3 trainees and most of their existing salaries would have been from their outside skills i cant imagine any of my SF trainees being worth more than 20k per week.

If i had of promoted in the last 2 seasons i wouldnt have been competitive and would have just dropped back albeit with another 6 or so mill.

Dont forget about the other 3 or so experienced managers and the 2 ex ABBLers who are all very capable.

Everyone is just waiting to see if the FAB 4, falls over financially, before deciding whether or not to "push their chips" in

Adams guns would know.

It would be a lot more lucrative for a team promoting than someone like your self who had been there for a few seasons

An established team can save 300 to 350K a week can't they. A promoting team will have better crowds when losing. The minimum salary could be used to fund a cup run (like what Mllama did last season)

From memory Yoda did it before they reduced the incentive to tank.

If you had a good cup run, I reckon your cup earnings, weekly surplus and promotion money would have to add up to 5 mill at least if you promoted into the ABBL and then sat at the salary floor

with the promotion money and a decent cup run, that would be possible
