Your solution only works for micronations and huge nations. But it doesn't work for those in between. Nations that have somewhere between 150 and 700 managers are active enough to have 3-4 active levels of divisions and high competition at their top division, but they can't form a huge nation. The idea of having regions creates 2 major problems:

1. Huge issues with the creation of a national team. And i think losing national teams would be disastrous as it is a huge part of the charm of BB.

2. Not everyone is fluent in English. Forum and BB-mail interaction is one of the major things that make BB great. If you put teams managed by people that speak different languages playing against each other constantly, you kill half of their joy.

I personally am not opposed to an idea of regions per se, i welcome the challenge, but i think many players will just give up if such things happened.

Now if you can somehow have both regional and national leagues operating at the same time, that might work. But it's not easy to do and changes the entire concept of BB which is unrealistic IMO.

Everything you've written falls into the same category: You are mixing exceptions with rules. Just because you think NTs are irrelevant for some, doesn't mean they are irrelevant for the majority. Just because you think that everyone can speak another relevant language doesn't mean the majority can. You have no data supporting those claims, just your own opinion based on several examples which, i repeat are far from the rule.

And the funniest thing is: This whole regions concept is only beneficial to micronations which total for, what 300? 500 managers total in ALL of those micro nations. Sure, it would help if they were put into a single "country" or region or whatever you would like to call it. But they only represent, what 1%, maybe 2% of the BB community. So essentially you are suggesting a "fix" that will help those 1-2% of the BB members, but will enrage at least significant parts of the remaining 98-99% by effectively killing the NT concept and a smaller but still significant part of players that cannot communicate in English or whatever the "official" region language would be. And trust me that number would be much much higher than 1-2% of the BB community.

Now, don't get me wrong, i am all for finding a solution that will be in the best interest of everybody. But i think the concept of creating 10 regions or so will create problems to more people than it will solve. Like i said in an earlier post, i personally would welcome such a situation, as i too would like to compete against far more than just 150-300 people in my own country (even if that number appears to be enough to be pretty competitive). But on the other hand i love the NT concept, have been investing in NT players for years and BB simply wouldn't be the same without it. Now if you can keep the NTs and have regions, than i, personally, will support a "regions" concept. But a lot of people won't. And certainly more than those 1-2%, if that because not all of those in micro nations actually want competition like you.
