Yet you want to hedge a bet on who will make Naismith this year.

If that's your conclusion on my words in that post I wonder about your ability to communicate with other managers on a regular basis

Alright I've been working quite a lot this week end as well (not even for an employer), this probably means that I too am too busy for u21. I don't think I'll write a speach, it's a little too late for that and frankly I don't have the inspiration.
headless you proved my point with you u21 player that only played a couple minutes in you very important game, Naismith, and even d2 are leagues where the average salary is at least 4 or 5 times the average salary of the u21 team, clearly the games are not won using the same strategies.
As for this election I'm a bit surprised that GM didn't participate. Sure his results were average and there was no communication at all, but he's probably tirerd of managing an average team with no way whatsoever of improving it. That's the problem with u21, and quite frankly I don't know how to solve it. There are even less managers in Canada nowadays, so the number of potential players is even lower.
In the past seasons I've been more interested in the NT than the U21 so I'm certainly not the best manager for it, but I still train my players and still have fun doing it.
In the end I'll just say that you already had your shot at it sparky, and the results were average at best, and GM's 2 seasons were also average, so you also failed when it comes to interest managers in training players for the u21 team. But that's it I won't go anymore into personal attacks, if someone wants to vote for me, great! But any of the others will probably be fine as well.

I mean what would you do different from us?

This statement alone, proves to me that Sparky has not learned from his previous U21 experience. At the time it was pointed out that we feel he did an adequate job. The fact that he openly admits he is not working alone makes the voting decision easy for me.

Maybe you can clarify what this actually means just in case I am misinterpreting something...

I agree that it would be great to see someone new give the U21 team a shot, but honestly the group of candidates is so far underwhelming.

Someone please step up and separate yourself from the pack!

I made a grammar error. I do work alone.

Fwinns misspelled speech. Which proves that nobody is perfect.

this whole debate has been "look at what I have done compared to the others." Which is odd, I don't care how whatever you have done looks compared to what the other guy has done. A 2/10 is better than a 1/10, but it's still a 2/10.

Just talk about yourself, explain why you're a good candidate regardless of who is running, prove yourself, don't bring others down this isnt the election for a new prime minister.

English isn't even my native language (french is), to be honest I'm surprised there aren't more mistakes than that

And I know it's a bit boring or too much down to Earth, but I don't think either of us (even the ones not participating in the election) can drastically change the outcome of 2 seasons of U21. Experience doesn't help, all we can do is avoid stupid mistakes like not setting a lineup, and try to get as much managers involved. As long as someone is training a player, be it for the nt or u22, it's fine by me, there's not much more we can do at this point. 10-15 really active managers can't make a 21yo team each year, there's not enough training room for that. The situation is a bit different with the NT where a player can play 5-8 years for the team, instead of just one.
We will never have the large pool of players of large nations such as spain or the USA, it's not just smart/bold tactics at this point.

First of all, welcome back (g)

I have the same feeling what you had pointed out "look at what I have done compared to the others."

I really don't care about how good of the canadiate, coz almost on one else say a word over the forum, and I don't know how much satisfaction you have under this death situation. But if the one who got this job, could invite the runners up (even more) as part of the telligent group, share more responsibilities and thought over the on/off site forum with new blood. Keep the forums active, conduct the fun, happiness to each candidates who lost, could be a tremendous achievements over you could take the U21 title.

Everyone has rich or soft spot, mention what you have rather than assault others.

Got to agree with Fwinns
tough job indeed that will go unrewarded to whomever ends up managing U21
Getting managers to listen to training and/or game shape advice is near impossible
and we have no room for error.
As he was getting at, much easier to train 1 team of veteran players that changes a little
instead of a new team of 21 year olds season after season especially with dwindling participation
good luck to all of you
