Other sports sims make an auction system work while allowing cancellation of bids without it affecting anything negatively. You can look at it that way too Kozlodoev.

There's a difference between real life and a game Kukoc. If you don't realize that then it could be a problem for you.

That statement doesn't actually come out and say that your bid will be final Crime devil. To alleviate any doubt there should be a sentence in there which says exactly that.

I did notice there's a confirmation message that gives you a second chance when you fire a player. Why can't there be something like that for bids? It doesn't have to be a button, just a warning message before the bid gets processed that says your bid will be final unless you get outbid.

ad hominem is completely unnecessary. Just because others do it doesn't mean it's correct, investments are final, that's the rule. So simply invest carefully and everything is fine.

Cancelling of bid's can only work in games where you buy you're players from computers or something that does not affect another player manager directly. Let me give you an example.
There is a great player that has a price range 2mil-4mil on the market with starting bid 1000$ now I am a divIII team that wants it badly but I can not manage to bid against guys in divII and divI. I have a friend that leads the divI and has a lot of cash laying around. I discover the player bid 1k on it and let my friend bid 10mil right after my bid. Now everyone looks at the transfer market and sees that this guy is not worth going after. Just before the end of auction my friend cancels his bid and I get the player for 1k.

Are rules in real life different things than rules in a game? Rules are rules.

I hope you realize, you can not pull a life card, in a game, that does not require you to log in daily:D

If that's the point of this thread, I believe it belongs in the Suggestions forum.

I'm getting a kick out of the analogies though. One person compares it to a real life auction, another says it's not Monopoly. It's not like a real life auction because it's a game

if it's not real life and a game (and yes it is) what's your reason for such an anger. I am sure you will be succesfull in BB with that level of passion and agression no matter how many times you bid to the wrong guy. cheers.

form is temporary class is permanent

It's not an ad hominem to post what I did. I'm just saying that an auction system that allows bid cancellations works for other games without screwing up the market. It's actually more of a fallacy to claim that such a system won't work here because it wouldn't necessarily be an accurate claim.

I have played sports sims that use the auction system and allowed cancellation of bids that involve human owners and they work just fine Kukoc. Also, rules here are different than in real life. Rules in real life are made for the safety and structure of society. The rules here are for a game that's not life or death. It's like comparing apples and oranges.

I didn't say I was angry Gates. I would be upset if I had paid for this game but since it's free the whole bid thing becomes more of an annoyance that affects the fun factor of playing more than anything.

It's all a moot point now since the player was placed on my team today. I might post something about a warning message for bids in the suggestion section if such an area exists.

That's an ad hominem. Same concept rules here govern safety and structure of the game. Hardly apples and oranges.

and how they handle the cases like above?

Did they make dark auctions, where you bid secretly on players and in the end the one with the highest bid wins?

Did they avoid bidding wars in the end without delaying the deadline fpor some additional minutes(even there you could sheat with bids)?

Which maneging sims use that system?

Edit: A confirmation wasn't that bad, if you made it optinal, so that you could ecide in your profil if you like it.

I don't know how you define ad hominem Milestone but it's wrong. It's apples and oranges because the safety and structure of real life compared to a game are completely different. If you don't know the difference then you've got a serious problem.
