It certainly is. However, a tanking team in a real league, won't earn as much as in BB. It's silly.

Yes, "tanking" is a good strategy and shouldn't be taken away completely. It is just the dramatic increase in the current form is not good.

It is a problem and it shouldn't be one of the tactics.

I demoted to 3rd league. I now have the largest arena in Australia, and a very large sum of money in reserves, as well as an ok 2nd league roster (maybe with a minor salary change).

I did this through tanking.

Even though I chose this tactic, I still think it's bad for the game. I think it's better if we focus on, as I've already suggested, basketball strategy not some silly flaw in the game.

It reminds me of some older games I'd play where the AI wasn't intelligent enough to get around an obstacle. Get the AI stuck on the obstacle and you can just kill it using ranged attacks. While this is a good strategy, I would prefer to play a game that is more realistic.

I don't see a problem with people tanking. The only problem is that they make so much money without a real big drop in attendance.

Agreed +1 ball.

surely thats the point re attendence, if a home team tanks then the atendence should be hit say 10%, if they tank next home game 20% and so on - that will stop their income - the issue is how to measure it.

We had a team in a div last year that sold every player approx 3 or 4 games before the end and gave walkovers, they started doing it this season but have since purchased some basic players but are obviously going down - they should have all their home game income taken away - end of story.

Imagine, You played in strong D lll without big incomes.
Happily you was promoted to D ll. Now you need reinforcement, but you dont have enaugh money. You loosing game by game and finally you will say: hey its not good idea to hit my attendance ! I am not tanker !!! So what i wanna say its important to have more indications for tankers. Games loosing not enaugh ;)

Look through the thread. There are other really good ideas of how to indicate a true tanker.
