After registering, make sure to send RiP(24916) a BB-mail confirming that it is actually you who registered. We don't need any spies lurking around.

I've added some possible call ups under the roster section, for you to look at some possible options we have going forward. Also posted the updated stats of this season's team.

Canada vs Brazil Recap
(15909)

Well this turned out to be quite the game and a pretty wild ending.

For 33 minutes, Canada basically played flawless, lead by Paul Gaize making his NT team debut. We were up by 14 at one point and things were looking good. We even survived 3 flagrant fouls and Gaize even injured their starting SG. But with about 3 minutes to go in the third, things turned sour quickly.

Brazil made a little run and cut the lead to 5 going into the 4th. Suddenly shots wouldn't fall for us, we could not rebound, and their PF who sat most of the game because of foul trouble started to kill us. Moran even fouled out within the first minute of the 4th. Halfway through we were down by 8 and some idiot in the chat room said we were going to get blown out, but GM-Beanerz remained positive.

Paul Gaize started making some shots and Maja hit two 3 pointers late. Demers made a late appearance and set up Paul Gaize who made the score 107-105. TSA had a huge steal and a rebound and Canada held on an exciting 112-105 win.

Paul Gaize started his first game and scored 37 points on 16-21 shooting. Even tied for second on the team with 5 boards. Gaize has sent a warning to Issa and Mathews that their spot on the NT is in jeopardy. Other than Gaize, Maja and Abu-Kaleel were solid and without those 3 there is no way we win.

Thanks to RiP, and HPP for their input before the game. No way we win without those guy making me think. Also thanks to Beanerz, and simplycrazy for stopping by to watch the game.

I think, any other line-up and you lose this game. So some very good choices there, when it looked like there was almost nothing you could do to win this game. Kudos.

It looks like, based on pts per 100, that Gaize had a very lucky night. But if he is your lucky charm the rest of the way, all the better.

Pretty big game vs Brazil tonight, a lot to discuss.

Have a basic game plan up and would like some input.

FCP, seriously? You generated 13 turnovers... Which means the strategy failed miserably. In my experience, a FCP can only be considered to have worked if you generate 20+ turnovers or more.

Given how close this game was with the joke tactics, I think you underestimated the team. The team probably actually had a shot with real tactics. I am not surprised that people in Chile laughed at the tactics, as was suggested in the off-site forum.

Someone mentioned in the off-site that no one had seen a FCP at the NT level... And there is good reason for that. It is funny that we decided to experiment with it for the most important game of the season.

Wow, your hind-sight is 20/20!

Perhaps rendering an opinion on the tactical choices before the game, as opposed to after, would make your concerns more legitimate.

Greerzilla, congrats on a successful first season as a NT coach. I don't think many fault you for your tactical choices in a game nobody thought would be close under the best of circumstances.
