"This game sucks" isn't a lesson, its an opinion. :)
After losing my 2 previous teams to inactivity, I learned you have to have something to enjoy other than promoting and winning all the time. At some point with most strategies, you reach a level where you can't go any higher with your current squad. This realization was the point where I lost interest in both previous teams.
I have taken the team building strategy this time around to training all of my players to make me more attached to them, buy low potential to start to improve slower so I don't get too good too fast (the Los Angeles Revolution model), and be well rounded so I can enjoy the tactical aspect of the game (not playing look inside, 3-2 zone every game). Plus, the added benefit of being well-rounded is that you don't have to tear down your team when faced with a much better team you aren't built to comete against.
