I wasnt talking about getting 15+ on SF in PA. with my trainee i am aiming for 12.

actually i am one of managers who loves to have versatile C. I like my PF to have higher OD,DR, and higher PS, JS on C

Going back to what jfarb said, I don't think whoever gets the job will have the talent to achieve any gold this term, but in 3-4 seasons, I think Canada should be a contender on the world stage. I think their job will be to try to build a team capable of winning the world championship, and SF is the biggest hole with the other positions having some elite starters. Besides Hall who should play PF, imo Labbe is the best of the SF bunch Mod-Bballin mentioned, and he'll be capped at only 122 SP. We need to find 1 or 2 teams to pick up and train elite SF prospects (which will first require convincing managers to sell those trainees, if there are any out there).

Also, Canada has gotten good at LI/MtM, but the new manager will need to adjust to the changes being made to the game engine. If the BB's are able to accomplish what they want, the team will have to be more versatile with the lineups being used. It'll require changing the advice given to NT caliber trainees, and redesigning the build of the team.

TL;DR - the manager will need to build a team capable of winning a championship, and that'll take more than the term their elected for, so I'm looking for long term plans

@Bballin: While there is no doubt you would be the best choice for NT manager when it comes to community involvement and organization, I'm skeptical about your ability to actually manage the team. You've been playing this game for twelve seasons now and your best result was a 14-8 record in division II to go along with a paltry 41% win ratio over the course of the other four seasons your team spent in the second division. The other seven seasons of your team's BB existence has been spent in division III, which is the lowest competitive division in Canada as far as I'm concerned. Division IV is comprised of about 20% of Canada's users, but it's basically where brand new teams learn the basics of the game and where inactive teams go to die. It would also be easier to look more favourably on your team's success if the most recent season was your team's best, but instead you're about to embark on your second straight season back in division III.

I am and always have been focused with training. I know it is possible to train and have success, but there have been many times where training has come first and my attachment to players hurt me. My first season(which was in div IV) was like most peoples. I was confused, not sure what I was doing and it turned out that I played normal all season long and trained my HoF 18yo PG in JR with a level 1 doctor and without getting the appropriate minutes. It was not until near the end of the season that I picked up a level 4 trainer and trained him properly(with advice from The Mogul). This player was Winston Hightower and he became the focus of my BB life. My goal was to get him onto Canada U21s and after I did, I didn't want to let go of him. He became a liability. He was an expensive, inefficient PG with no secondaries. I was in div III, had barely expanded my arena and was trying to win games with a roster that had to support his 100k salary. When I finally promoted I thought I would do fine in div II, but his salary meant I didnt have enough cap space for a competitive roster and I flopped. I sold him and the next 4 seasons in div II were spent surviving and building an arena while training my new trainee(Quentin Jakes) and during my last season in div II I began playing him at C to get IS training. I probably could have stayed in div II had it not been for my out of position training, but I could not help myself from training him. I have three trainees I focus on now, making being competitive more difficult. Last season I went the whole season with a very salary efficient roster. With about a 200k roster I finished second in my conference with a 19-3 record only because I tanked my first two games of the season(I was planning on tanking) and then lost a game where I forgot to set a lineup. I was a shoe in to promote until someone splurged and ended up with a 480k roster. What I am trying to say is that while I have not had much success(c'mon I made the quarterfinals of the cup once! ;) ) with my team, it is slightly due to the fact that I have always been focused with training, horrible with finances and impatient.

In fact I have a 120k level 6 trainer just because I dont have the money to get a cheaper one currently and I dont want to go below level 6. Thats how much I focus on training. Im bankrupting myself in order to train 3 guys who I think can be great. I have not had a lot of ingame success, but I do achieve my goals(Jakes and Hightower both making their U21s).

The Canadian NT is arguably the strongest it has ever been and I'm not sure you're capable of managing that type of world-class talent.

I have been assisting beanerz with decisions this past term. I know how to manage this team. I was the only one who thought we could beat the USA last season and we lost by two points due to the 2-3 zone I thought of. I know how to scout opponents, I have good understandings of the different defensive and offensive tactics and a good understanding of a good player vs a bad player. I can manage this world class talent because I follow all the world class teams. I pay attention to the NTs and B3s. I know how it works.

My U21 failures were usually due to the fact that I never wanted to use any enthusiasm. I never wanted to normal because I was scared it would be unnecessary and hurt us longterm. I know now that using effort is necessary and works.

Thanks for the kind words and honesty.

My main goal will be to try and setup a huge mentoring program that will ensure that Canadian managers know what to do when they find themselves with a HoF 18 yo on their roster. We need to educate the people. I dont want people to end up going through what I did. Training an expensive, inefficient player. Thats not what Canada needs or what Canadas managers need.

I feel like with players MVP+ all training programs should be steered in the direction of the NT vs the U21 and any superstar or lower will focus on the U21. This is something that would have to be discussed with the U21 manager, but I feel it is the right move.

I don't really have questions. I just wish to publicize for the international teams running that may not be informed, that our NT is not necessarily an up-and-coming team and a team in position to ascend further. Our team is business on the surface but the inner workings are more chaotic.

Past managers intend well. In this past term, the manager executed as well as anyone could've expected. But it's of critical importance that our NT managers (and any assistants) overhaul the training process for NT potential players. We need a fundamental change in approaching this area because very few players continue to get dedicated training. Our NT roster's one fatal flaw is finally creeping up on us and it's going to bite us in the ass here pretty soon. I don't know of any prospective NT'ers that can mask coming deficiencies and no current players can masquerade as a fix. That's unacceptable considering this has been a known issue for years. Real life years.

Maybe I'm over-exaggerating but I really don't think so. I think this is more than a 2 season process but it's a fix that could potentially set us up forever. Beyond our big problem, just being proactive with the game engine changes is key. We do have some exciting guys if the proposed changes prove significant.

That was a lot to read, too much really
I hate to say this but your $120,000 trainer calls plenty into question, makes no sense really
not with the trainees you own
Cutting off your nose to spite your face
training and winning can be done even if training is the focus

I sure as hell don't want this to be an attack on you, you work plenty hard here but
it shows in a way how young you are in your decisions of being able to balance priorities
everybody here knows you're a smart kid!

Whoops forgot to unregister for election, don't want to take votes from real candidates if I had any.

Anyway from an outsider perspective I'm pretty sold that bballin will put the most effort into being NT coach and building the community, and has Beanerz and others to help him with tactical decisions. Some of the problems Stajan outlined seemed pretty dire tho. No one liked my blowup the U21 and use it solely for player development and saving players from going bot idea?

Good luck Canada, hopefully we get a USA vs Canada Americas final, but gonna be tough, Chile has HCA

I am Napoleon Bonaparte. I will lead this national team to victories like no one has seen yet, far surpassing my victories at Jena and Auerstadt. Unlike any other candidate, I have conquered Europe, and I will conquer the Americas.

Never doubt me. NEVER.

Vote for me.

You shall not regret it.

With Greatness,

Napoleon Bonaparte
