Hi guys, I need some advice, is it maybe smart to stay another season in League III to train my young players and improve my financial status?

Thanks!

i too have taken new trainees. So i'm prioritising training atm.

But in all fairness, i think i don't match up well with either Obira or Blengy. i'm very reliant on my starting 5 to come through and get me W's. The game against Obira for example: Maerten got ejected for 2 Technical fouls. (his first technicals in over 3 seasons btw). And suddenly, it falls apart. Last season in the BBBL, my season fell apart because Valery was injured (or recovering and out of shape) for over 50% of the season. and then during the play downs, i lost my german SG for a game & lost my starting C for 2 weeks to injury.

regular season records and preceive strength don't matter. it's who is available at the end of the season. last season i had a team to stay up, but it got derailed by injuries. i've lost 1.5M on a guard and probably more on my big. i was making 50k a week without the cup, so i ended up with a net loss.

The 5th team promoting has made the gap between the contenders and those fighting for relegations even bigger. i'm unsure which is the last team to go to the BBBL and survive there for 3 seasons. you need to have 10M in cash reserves to boost your team, that should already consist of 2 BBBL ready players if you want to stay up there & then you need your team not to be ravaged by injuries ofc...

Promoting to the BBBL is the "easier" part. staying there, that is the hard part

ow and i got a TV game against the "De Scheetebeezekes" . just one detail. he's selling his entire team. So that will be a 50-0 with bad minutes. Fun times

Didn't the rules about it changed ? I think you can almost choose the numbers of minutes ? Or Am I wrong ?

I'm unsure. i read something about this too, but it still had some bugs in it. i guess we'll end up seeing how it turns out.

Can't agree more about BBBL. I went three times and I managed to stay one time one year. I think I could have save onr more year but destroying the finance (so I sold my best players 5M both) ... Now I'm good in Finance, I earn 150k a week without the cup and I'm training 3 players. Goal : to go to BBBL in 3-4 seasons in order to qualify for the PO and to stay a bit longer but since Buston Aka Jesus loves us, no team has managed to come and stay....

you are in a very healthy spot indeed. As for Buston, you need to know some context. When he came into the BBBL, the blue side was much weaker than the red side. Falco had had a lot of luck saving himself the season prior due to injuries on other teams, so this weakened that conference even more. Then he came in, managed to get a PO spot, strenghting his economy. The 1 team that could have dominated was Amenra, but he hit the reset button. Buston went up at the perfect timing & there was a gap to fill. He maanged to jump into the gap and due to the absence of real contenders (Provenence was strong tho, but he's always been depending on Ken DeNeudt). so once Ken got old, he was done for aswell. So any team comming in with young players that could still move on, but were BBBL capable & some cash could have taken his spot. He did everything right and the perfect circumstances gave him time to finish his players. his weekly match ups were also in his favor. For the record, he did amazing. If he doesn't do everything perfect, he wouldn't be there. He is a great manager, but as with all greats, luck has to be on your side.

Had he been on the redside, he probably wouldn't have been able to stay up. So yh, you need to be very lucky. That is why i'm considering going up to the BBBL again, win some games there to maybe stay an extra season & then sell off my team to hit the reset again. It's rough, but that is how it has to be if you have hopes of competing at some point.

As for Guiguits, i got some advice: be carefull with your "window" going up to early means you get cash but you have to fight to avoid being penalized by cash. Going up to late means you'll lose cash in II. The window has to be perfect (and truth be told, i feel like i've missed mine. If all goes well, i'll be at 5M at the end of the season. If i don't promote then i'll have to start my reset then. And even if i promote, i'll have to invest a lot of cash. So promoting will be just an extra season of Valery on my team & enjoying having him, getting some cash and then back down to II for a good reset.

to sumarize: if you want to go to the BBBL and stay there, you need atleast 2 (actually 3) trainable players, who can turn into starters in the BBBL. you need cash to get 2 monsters at the other 2 positions & you'll need to be able to have some reserve on your bench. Promoting to the BBBL is not longer a short term thing. If you want to go up and compete, you need to plan it several seasons in advance! and you'll need to have luck on your side too ;)

control what you can and hope for the best. The fact that the BBBL feels so unobtainable is kinda making me lose interest in the game. So i might be going on my final run once Valery is sold.

So I can better go up this season and make more money? But than I have to buy new players and I earn now more money than in II actually? I sold my old players and bought young, less skillfull players but is enough to manage it in III.
