but hes not the same as your own drafted player...
a lot less sentimental as well.

and your own drafted players gives more merchandise too when they are trained up to be become superstars.

Sentimental value is no different. Both players were purchased a week after they were drafted so are mine from the beginning regardless of who drafted them. Reynolds has as much sentimental value as johnson since home axis seen him as useless due to him starting with shooting guard skills and being 6'11. I made him what he is and that's what is important to me.
And of my best 10 only 3 are my draftees. Even while tanking my merchandise was $20k above the average. Its irrelevant if you buy Australian.

Look at my first 2 picks in my season 11 draft.
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/league/1057/draftSummary.aspx?season=11

In every draft i have ever seen there has never been more than 2 players worth more than $300k.

... and now you have :)

I had a quick look. You were very lucky to get them at pick 16. But I didnt anyone else of any real value so...
[In every draft i have ever seen there has never been "more than 2" players worth more than $300k.

Unless there was others I didn't see, I still haven't seen one.

At the end of the day, it is up to the individual how they find their trainees. All I know is every draft brings the same "Not much this season. Just this one guy" discussion, followed by "When are we getting a decent draft?". When that standout player is drafted and is just worth the money spent on scouting, everyone else puts it down to a freakishly bad draft, like they did the season before that, and the season before that...

I was going to approach the best Australian 18 year olds manager this season and tell him to name his price. Do you know who it was? A f**king bot in Div 4! I wonder what he spent on scouting?

I have spent 1.2 mill in 5 seasons on 3 players and have sold 1 for 500k while the other 2 would bring between 2-2.5 mill combined and that is being conservative. All 3 were the exact players I needed, were virtually uncontested and were guaranteed to be worth the money i committed. No risk of someone else getting the good pick or only being guards when i needed talls. If I couldnt find what I wanted (which I always did) it set me back absolutely nothing... The only complaint I have ever had about my juniors is my 3rd trainee often misses out for the other 2. And I still make a profit of it!

Was Daryl Tallis your first choice Bainsey? Tho he is only 3k salary, do you still remember what his rating was like on the draft list?

Well played. 10 seasons and I haven't seen a draft close to that. Whoever bought your player overpaid for potential but will get it back... The owner of Andy Phillips should be shot for wasting a national u/21 freak!

What's happening with CFH? Is he going to load up with new players before the playoffs, or has he been infected with the tanking virus too?!
