Pretty big game vs Brazil tonight, a lot to discuss.

Have a basic game plan up and would like some input.

FCP, seriously? You generated 13 turnovers... Which means the strategy failed miserably. In my experience, a FCP can only be considered to have worked if you generate 20+ turnovers or more.

Given how close this game was with the joke tactics, I think you underestimated the team. The team probably actually had a shot with real tactics. I am not surprised that people in Chile laughed at the tactics, as was suggested in the off-site forum.

Someone mentioned in the off-site that no one had seen a FCP at the NT level... And there is good reason for that. It is funny that we decided to experiment with it for the most important game of the season.

Wow, your hind-sight is 20/20!

Perhaps rendering an opinion on the tactical choices before the game, as opposed to after, would make your concerns more legitimate.

Greerzilla, congrats on a successful first season as a NT coach. I don't think many fault you for your tactical choices in a game nobody thought would be close under the best of circumstances.

We talked about this on the off site forum, where you once again didn't have an opinion until after the game. We decided on the tactics on Tuesday, so you had another 3 full days to add to the discussion. I think if we played normal tactics, we still would have lost and we don't get anything for losing by less.

That someone who mentioned FCP, also said that was his vote. There were 3 people who even talked about the game and in the past I have listened and made changes based on what people have said. I talked with Damian during the Brazil game and we talked about playing Patient with everyone out of position. If you would have mentioned something between Tuesday and Friday night and more people discussed that we should play normal tactics, maybe we would have.

And I don't think it was the most important game of the season. If we lost against Brazil we would have finished 4th and went straight to the consolation side. Instead we finished 2nd and have a shot at the World's and if we played motion or look inside we would have lost anyways.

So, I would love more input from you and other managers from Canada, but unfortunately that wasn't the case this season. We just had the best season for the National Team since season 5 and no one has even noticed. So if you want to be vocal and voice your opinions, please head to the offsite forum and chime in before hand, instead of ripping on me after a game.

exactly. After all it turned out that FCP wastn the best choice but we had nothing to lose. Can you name that tactic that would give us a win HPP? I dont see any. Maybe going with 2-3 would be better, but it wouldnt be enough to stop Chile anyway so our best shot and good experiment was to introduce bit of chaos inside this game.

And I believe that it was still a decent effort, considering that we lost by 16 and had muuuuch lower enthusiasm and worse players. Just lookj what kind of ratings Chile put up. No way we could match that

That's a highly sexual 3.5 rating for Matthews.

I don't have a reference for the quality of teams here, but the result itself doesn't look terrible to me. If we won I think I'd be a little more upset, actually.

Naturally. I just don't have the time to check in very much. I just can't believe someone suggested this tactic and, probably because it was RIP, the NT manager jumped right on board.

I didn't even mention the weird tactics in the Argentina game, although I did talk about it in the off-site.

Anyhow, doesn't matter, it is just a game. And I won't be around much longer, anyways. I know I keep saying that so I might as well seal the deal.

I don't have anything positive to say about this guy but as a fellow expert, his opinion is correct.

The greatest of all time.
