I'll post my guy again, even though you will all bag him again.

Weekly salary: $ 8 929

DMI: 85600
Age: 19
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: star
Game Shape: proficient

Jump Shot: strong Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: respectable
Driving: proficient Passing: average ↑
Inside Shot: strong Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: mediocre ↓ Free Throw: proficient

Experience: pitiful

He's looking very respectable (pun intended). He's popped in passing 3 weeks in a row. By the end of the season he should get 2 or 3 pops in both OD and JR, and might get pops in ID and JS.

Ding.

I don't agree that the 19 year old big men are ordinary from what i have seen they are on par with other years.

Maybe I didn't word it quite well, I guess I meant that you wouldn't expect anything outside the norm for our usual group of big men for that particular age. When I mean outside the norm I mean those really big monsters.

Jeeves Jenkins I am no U21 coach but I will give you my opinion even though you are not going to like it. Your guy looks great, he could be a fantastic PG/SG or SF in the future for our team...BUT...that Jump Range: atrocious is a massive problem. Someone else will correct me but I believe JR is either the slowest or the second slowest skill in the game to train. Even if you get a level 6 trainer, at age 19 and at 6'3" I doubt you could pop it every two weeks. To get is up to just respectable is then an entire season of training - yes you will get some secondary pops but by then his OD, passing etc will be just too far behind. And think, what will that do to your other trainees too?

Maybe one of the NT people can comment if they would play a PG or SF maybe with less than respectable JR, that would be your only chance. Sorry dude. I drafted an AMAZING guard a while back, 18, high potential, respectable in almost all his guard skills, and pitiful for OD, I think he sold for 100k or less - that one bad stat can be a killer.

Again I will start by saying that I am no expert, so just take this or leave it, but he looks fantastic...for your team. For U21 - I think he could make it but will need some luck cause I think he is a way longshot.

His age and height are terrific, most of his skills are great although you will need to spend quite a bit of time on his rebounding, but that wouldn't be much of a problem. The big problem will be his passing. Every time I read Mallima giving feedback to U21 trainers of big men he is always telling them to improve their players passing. Your guys passing simply isn't worth it. So your only option would be to make him a C (especially with his horrid JS and JR) and just pump his IS, ID and RE throuh the roof. This will put up his salary up a lot and his potential will hurt you sooner than it would if you spent time on his secondaires.

If you are going to have any shot you need to do as much 1 position training as you can (all but rebounds), 48+ minutes every week (probably including all star week and off season), and a great trainer.

Good luck.

I was never training him with the goal of making the U21 team, but there doesn't appear to be many quality 19 yo SFs being trained so there might be a spot for him. I'm only training him 12 weeks of the season and will probably stop once he turns 21. He'll look something like this:

JS: 9/10 JR: 5
OD: 12/13 HA: 9
DR: 10 PA: 8/9
IS: 8/9 ID: 8/9
RB: 7 SB: 7

Do you think that player has a place in the team?

A player with those skills has no place for the U21 national team unfortunately. Would be a useful player for your team though.
