You've got one helluva nerve.

OF COURSE Stunners has been quiet about Oishi's benching! He's probably dealing with it like an adult, asking BB King directly rather than making a huge song and dance out of it.
Another thing you might note is that the top 3 players re. minutes aren't even Japanese-owned. So much for *that* theory.

On a personal level:
Matsumoto didn't get even selected to play for about 3 weeks running. Did I bitch/moan/whine/stamp-my-feet about it like a spoilt brat?
Nuh-uh. I quietly and calmly sent the manager a message inquiring as to what was going on - we had a short dialogue and I fixed the problem.

The *cough-cough* "issues" that existed between thee and me were there far before BB King joined Japan in any capacity.

You know what IS funny tho'? How very easily he pushes your buttons.

So how can the player who has the 10th top salary in Nippon, who is one of only 2 in the top 10 under 25 & 1 of only 3 under 28, who is 1 of only 2-3 in the top 10 still being trained not be on the team?

So many stats and at first moment I wasn't sure who is he ;-)
Okey, quick review and I know. He is Kawagichi. Yea, now I know that it was easy to predict, I shouldn't think about players in other clubs than Yours.
He didn't play in previous season because I received NT without empty slots.
He was one of the candidate to play in this week vs Canada, it was my last dilemma - Kawagichi or Honda. They are very similar. However Honda has better DMI (in previous season You were big fan of DMI). I adjudged that Honda is better choise in this match. This match was very important for us, so my goal was to select the best players, not youngest.
I think Kawagichi has big chance to play in this season and I will be suprised if it doesn't happen.
However he isn't perfect player, he is close to cap. He shouldn't train outside skills in next few season because then his very young age will be worthless. And therefore I assume his outside skill will be the same in near future.
And please note that Kawagichi played in previous week in scrimmage. In thas match I used as many young player as possible. In this week I had to use the best players.
However he played few days ago. So BANG!!!!!!!!!!!! Something is wrong in Your theory.

And one more thing. You aren't objective in discuss about Your players. In one of Your previous posts You wrote very sarcastic that You know big man with OD better by 5 than Hayakawa. It isn't hard to guess that he is of course Your player. So why didn't You add that his ID is worse by 5 than Hayakawa? I can't call Your player only because one of his skills is better than skill of player in NT. I must compare all skills and so bad ID for big man is unacceptable. If I call this player it will be realy sabotage.

We had, all in our way, come to understand and work along with Shogun as well...As a former U21 coach I know all too well how Shogun bandstands his players and he can go to the extreme, but we all work pretty well wtih him I think.

We should consider that Shogun is a relatively successful manager for the age of his team. Can you name anyone who has won a cup with a team as Japanese as his? If he is so wrong about his players, then why did he smack everyone up so bad with them last season hmmm????

I don't even agree with his evaluations half the time but you got to give him some credit. Japanese players are overpriced and limited in selection, yet he picked (and trained) a winning squad. That says A LOT.

I think arguing and bandstandings in the forums is one thing, but when a guy WINS with his crew, that is worth a million words. Proof is in the pudding, Shogun deserves some credit and consideration, its not all hot air.

I don't think you have the right to point at Shogun for "bandstanding". He's no worse than you.

And I consider him to be an EXTREMELY successful manager - no "relatively" about it! Matter of fact, in some ways I consider him to be more successful than you, or others - given how long he's been in the JBBL, and the fact that his team is made up of almost entirely Japanese players. I'm envious!
That said, I think he is far too focused on his players in the NT, rather than the NT itself. This isn't news to him (I've even discussed it with him via BBmail).

It looks like there are more pirates than only me ;-)
One of them bought this player: (27821776) and only goal was to retire him without playing even in single match ;-)
Great example of sportsmanship ;-)

Hell... if a motivated NT manager decided that we were going to go hell for leather on a 2-3 program and have s**tloads of SB (over ID perhaps?)? I'd go for that.

Uncommon tactic isn't answer for every problem (despite fact that I'm big fan of uncommon solutions). However in BB doesn't exist tactic which allow us to defeat opponents which have players with 3-4 times better salary and TSP better by 30-40 points.
Except of Furusawa our the best bigs have salary 107k, 98k, 91k, 89k and TSP between 80-89. Even two towers in Poland (who often are presented as monsters without secondaries) had TSP = 100 and 91 and it was 8 seasons ago, during these seasons average level of TSP in NT Poland increased by at least 20 points.
So first step should be try to train as many players as possible, no matter how. If we have more trained players then we can polish their skills up toward specific tactics.

I agree that *different isn't always better*, but just trying to beat the bigger nations at their own game isn't necessarily the answer either.

Not quite what I meant with regards to which teams we should be beating.
I don't want to beat the huge, massive nations with "players with 3-4 times better salary and TSP better by 30-40 points." - I want to beat the teams the next level up from us, the teams of the slightly-smaller-than-middle-sized through to middle-sized nation.
Reality check for all of us: unless we land a pot of gold with regards to players/development/strategies, then we're not beating either.

BB King is our manager, live with it everyone. Trolling him is getting old already. In fact, this thread should have been closed right after that GM stepped in and told everyone to zip it.

The guys that are training domestically are working with the very best that was available to them. K-Mat, Yasujiro, Asano, Motoori, whatever you think of where they are at, TRUST ME that is the best that was available for those guys to train. Kawagichi, again, the best that was available. We got people tanking every season in the JBBL to get the top pick while spending 40k a week...and then sometimes those teams go bot suddenly....what the legit JBBL teams can draft is rather limited. Very hard for us to land reasonable, trainable picks, we are doing the best with what is available to us....

I'm saying this because now is not the time to turnaround and start dissing everyone's build. You had your fun at me about my trainee but show some respect for everyone else.

Sec... where did he disrespect other players ('other' than yours)?
