Oi. Oi. Stop that. I'm allowed to write myself off early. No-one else is. I have HCA! You should be thinking I'm the favourite! Ignore my opponent, the fact that he has a player with double the salary of any of mine is irrelevant...

i think the tv revenue is basically the same even though our league had much higher salaries most of the season - maybe it will be diff in s16

s15 d2 tv income
2/1 112k
2/2 113k
2/3 110l
2/4 112k

1) You do realize you make less revenue in the lower leagues right? Before I promoted I made $20k a week. This season I was making $200k a week with the same roster... Do the math. ;)

1) you were doing something wrong if you were making 20k a week in Div 3 when you got promoted, I was making a lot more than that. And now you have added another Weekly salary: $ 33 080 for Jerzy Martyka and Weekly salary: $ 88 251 for Antoine Ackerman so you have added $121,311 to your roster. And you do realize that there is a attendance Boost to newly promoted team's that you wont get next season. 200k - about 150k. will you be making 200k next season?

2) I think you underestimate the activity of the current div3. I can't recall any bots in my league last season. I could be wrong but from memory I just remember a couple of teams who tanked and sold their whole rosters.

2) Even if there are no bot's i could buy a team for peanuts to not get relegated.

3) Again, the losses in income received from div2 to div3. Merchandise and tv contract alone is a massive drop. Sure you will make profit, but you have a long, boring journey ahead!

3) I think you are under estimating how much you can make in Div 3, even if it's a loss of 80k i still come out way ahead by not paying the 300k+ in salary. long and boring journey ahead is part of a long term plan.

we only get 186k in the abbl.
so thats only 70k more... totally not worth it in the abbl since you need way more salary to compete and not relegate.

I encourage anyone who makes the abbl for the first time to just tank it =P Look at me! I won 3 games the whole season!
2 wins were against a bot abbl team =P

Yeah, but you probably would have been relegated from II.1 this season, so you're a poor example.

:D

Holy shit!

Your going to be relegated, You should just give up BB now. If I'm going to lose 2 mil+ by getting relegated to Div 3, You must be going to lose 10 mil+ going from Div 1 to Div 2. ;p

hah yeah so we talking about div2 to div3, say div2 gives $110k tv contract, div3 give what, 70k tv contract?

thats 40k x 14 weeks = 560k per season.

that half a mil cuold be compensated by having lower salaries in div3. I guess its not how much you make, but how much you spend =P

Mate I don't get your problem.

The way I see it Holtz tanked the meaningless (for him at least) game before the playoffs to save his starters for the opening round against DFBS. I wish I could have been in that position but I had to play harder than I would have liked to make the playoff cut because of your run and because Holtz is stronger than me no matter how you dice it.

I would rather get paid to have a crack at Cowboys than scrimmaging and taking a financial hit over the next two and a half weeks. My goal this season was only to avoid relegation but it is always nice to have a crack at the title even if it is an unrealistic goal.

I don't know but missing the playoffs due to standard PO preparation and second guessing your own choices really shouldn't eat you up this much. It is just a game after all.
