No, it actually works the other way round. You must have to stop logging into your current team, and when it auto-locks in 7 weeks, you can apply for a new one.

1 TEAM ALLOWED!!!

If you want a new team, you MUST NOT sign in for 6 straight economic updates.

7 Actually.

But kozlodoev is wrong too, 6 weeks (and few posssible days)

I understand the rules, but the logic behind that doesn't make any sense to me--from a business standpoint.

Sure it does, think if somebody got 2 teams. They could transfer list players and buy them with the old team. One of the funnest parts for me at least was getting my team started and screwing up a little bit then digging myself out of it.

As far as the business side of it, they only make money if you're a supporter, its meant to be a free game that's fun.

If you want some help, bb-mail me,I'll check out your roster and let you know what i would do, give me a holler if you'd like.

Southpaw,

Oh- I am with you on the cheating. I think a player should be allowed to delete his team and have a much shorter turnaround on getting a new team. I definitely wouldn't want to see people with more than one team.

What I am saying is--that's too long of time off. Someone might stay away with the purpose of coming back, but completely forget about the game or decide it isn't worth it to go back. Also, people can't be supporters if they aren't playing the game (away waiting for their original team to expire).

They could at least make it so Supporters could cash in their teams and start over whenever they wanted.

Sorry to hijack the thread! Eeks.

For the OP- Be careful with the moves you make. Be patient (that bit is hard for me sometimes). I am sitting on a nice wad of cash right now and I know I should keep it, but my finger is always itching to bid. hehe

The reason it's that long is because we don't want to see a pattern of:

Get team

Eff up team

Quit

Get Team

Eff up team

Quit

...in somewhat rapid succession.

But what about people who want to keep deleting their teams.
Let's say a user gets a new team an sees that hes at the bottom of the standings. He'd keep on deleting until he was in a positon at the top, where as this method discourages that completely. And if only supporters could do that,(new teams automatically get supporter for a while anyway) new users would be able to do this frequently.

Not arguing, but it'd be pretty easy to put in a mechanism that allowed this only once per season or every other season. Could be even longer too.

I just think BB would have to be losing some people every once in awhile because of that very long turnaround.

I hear what you are saying though. Oh well!

i think in the most case the deleting team could make it also in just rebuilding his old team.

I think that, that's the whole point is to build a team and be proud of where you came from.
At first I was like 4-13 last place-what the eph!. Okay I 'll try some stuff to finish this year, get my picks and hopefully be able to compete and contend by the end of next year.
It comes to mind that everyone wants the praise for doing something well, but doesn't want to work for it.
Trust me it'll be far more worth it in the end...So just change your teams name, get the bad taste out of your mouth and remember what you did wrong and don't repeat or right the ship from future mistakes over a few seasons, peace.
