On the other hand, having feedback that your player was checked by the NT coach is useful, even if it is to prevent cases of abuse.

Perhaps on the NT, but for U21 there is not much info to get you an edge over your competitors, especially not for the 18-19 year olds... I think it just gives false hope, at least for the inexperienced who might be led to believe that they have actually recieved a spot on the team, although it was probably just the initial scouting following the draft. We have tried the PM approach, but the ones answering PM's is a minority and the U21/NT shouldn't suffer because of this, so the only way to go about it is to make an initial scouting on the ones that surpasses certain criterias. Either way, I think very few, if any, abuses this for their own gain. It is a short and despicable tactic which only leads to you beeing disliked, not ever beeing voted as NT coach again and a bad gaming experience. Where is the fun of winning if you cheat?!

I agree with others. It will just give users false hope. I checked probably 50 players preseason last time and of them most players are very likely to not be even close to the team. Reason I do so is that a low salary player can have very well distributed skills and be selected for such reason.

I have no idea either, though any GM in BB will tell you that some users here beg to differ...

FWIW, I made pretty much the exact same case to the BBs a few months ago, but the decision was made to keep it as it is, based on feedback from "a couple of national team managers". Safe to say you weren't one of them.

You are free to ignore it, so what's the issue. (discussed again?!)

A few NT coaches we spoke to liked that users could see how active they were being (by scouting so many players). Also, they said it brought more attention to the national team, as people will ask why.

That said, I do see the downsides of having all of the headlines show up.

I think it's fair to let users know when the NT coach has looked at their player, but that's just me.
