I understand that some people are bad free throw shooters, but even with atrocious free throw shooting I would expect better than 8%(2612699) Sigh. Its a long way to legendary.

Shaquille O'Neal was one of the worst free throw shooters of all time, but he shoots in double digits!!!!!

Anyway the minimum percentage will get upped or is this just something we will all have to deal with?

I think Shaq was about respectable or strong FT. Hehe.

Atrocious FT is like a 8yo boy who touches a ball for the first time in his life and who hasn't got the power to trow it high enough to get it in.

..this get a bit weird when you have a prof/strong jumpshooter and training him doesnt improve the relatively easy standstill jumpshot from the line...

edit: training jumpshot that is..

the atrocious guy simply doesn't know how to shoot, he steps up and stands with his back to the bourd, trowing the bal up underhanded while making a swing with his left leg...
should he know how to step up, concentrate and trow it just like he trows when he trows a jumper, he might be a lot better.
In FT training they are taught how to do it properly, not in jumpshot training.

:)

(and I don't want to hear anybody about reality, this is a game and this is the way it happens, just as I described, they are all dumb dumb players!!!)

(well maybe not, but I like to think about it this way, it makes the game more fun)

Well, I didn't say atrocious FT-ers didn't make nay hoops.
I should check my team, but I think there will be atrocious TF-ers that hit more than 8%.

My proficient FT guy is 36-52 (69.2%) for the year, ugh. Taking away one 12-12 game, he's 24-40 (60%!).

If I recall right I had a guy scoring 8/8 at FT in a game too, and he was definitly not proficient, maybe strong at best.

just as in real life good FT shooters have bad days, and bad shooters have good days. (and the other way around ofcourse) And every free trow can be made, but also missed just the same. Nobody is perfect.

My strong guy is 56-78 which is 71.8%, quite nice I think. And my proficient backup is 13-16 which is 81,2%. I think other things are important as well with FT's, f.e experience.

A respectable FT'er with average exp shoot 45-63, which is 73%, and another guy proficient exp and strong FT shoots 100% right now, although he barely gets FT's.
