Experience can change after any game -- it doesn't have anything to do with the end of season.

Really? How does it change...if the player makes a game winning shot or something like that? I always heard it changes at the end of each season.

No, experience is based on playing time.

In my early days I read something about players also getting experience from handling important gameaspects, as taking an important shot, or making an important play.

So basically they get exp for playing minutes, and a little extra for important plays.

I'm not sure if that text is still in place, nor that it (still) works that way.

What I extract from my own players over the seasons, is that indeed it doesn't seem the minutes alone, but hey, that can just be a feeling which is wrong. Often people see what they thing is there, but what actually in reality is not...

In the end, experience grows real slow, and there is little we can do to significantly improve it. Especially not without sacrificing other game-aspects.
So it's best to not concentrate on gaining experience, if you'd ask me. ;)
Just let it slowly find it's way into your team, without bothering about it.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

This may or may not be true -- I've never heard it from a BB, and it definitely hasn't been a conclusive text to this effect in the rules that I can remember of.

I have the opposite impression -- my two best players who have been playing in close to all important games since season 4 seem to be gaining experience at a comparative rate -- but that's just me.

Experience comes from playing time. Two seasons is about the time you need for a full level, if they've been indeed getting significant playing time.

I think it's closer to one season's worth of league minutes (not a full 48 every game, though).

Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

this was an explanation, for the random created starting value in Xp for players which gives you respectable xp in rookies and 30 Year old veterans with atrocious xp ;)

I think this was never part of the xp raising formula.

Hey my PF just experience a boost in his experience, he went from atrocious to pitiful.

it doesn't seem to have made a difference in his DMI or anything like that, but according to Buzzer Control's rating system he went from 3.51 to 3.63.

There is also speculation that experience adds a slight boost to every skills. That is the more experienced a player is the less likely he will miss a free throw at an away game or a general shot for that matter.

So anyone else think so? that it gives a small boost to every skill?

they changed it, short time after making this comment ;) I think the draft before six seasons was the last one with high XP for the rookies.(i always search for lenard Prem to figure that out, because he was a player of this generation with very high XP).

About the effect of XP i am unsure, but we know two things it affects shot selection(rules) and makes players stronger in the last minutes of the game(112433.2).
