The Pacers Pistons brawl really sticks out for me. It still looms heavily over the Pacers and they've had to replace essentially the entire team. I watched it on tv right when some good mushrooms peaked, so it was pretty surreal.

Cant see why the brawl should be so special...

One thing I might add: the Garnett crying interview.

I'm going out on a limb here...but if the Lakers win another title or two, I think the Pau Gasol trade with Memphis has to be a pretty significant fleecing.

man i said man a lot in that last post... man, anyway the brawl isnt anything to be proud of but it is a notable point in bball history, it kept on getting worse and worse and was total chaos throught the arena. the biggest thing to come from the brawl was if you are rich enough you can do anything ( except shoot yourself in the foot, but that is a different sport)

I am more of a college bball fan, but for me the exhibition that Dwyane Wade put on in the finals to beat the Mavericks in 2006 was the most memorable. The Heat went down 0-2, but after that it was a one man wrecking crew. Best one man performance in the finals since MJ.

Being a Laker fan I followed the 'break-up' pretty closely and I have to agree with BOTH players in saying-It was more media driven than reality. The media loves to make mountains out of molehills. IMO the Lakers kept the right guy ;)

I'm agreeing with the suggestion above on the Argentina gold medal in the Olympics. That, in mind, was the sign and symbolic moment that basketball really became an international sport, that an non-American team could raise a team of players to take the gold.

And the growth of BuzzerBeater I think echoes that notion.

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!
