Has anyone in your league ever tried training Pressure?

The best team OD rating I saw was inept (high), and average (low) could be had for very cheap. Certainly less than 77k/week.

Looks like you have only one bot. That automatically makes your league stronger than a lot of D5's. About half my league is bot. I'd like to scrimmage one of the top 4 teams in your league to see how I do.

Same here, I think I could take that 18-0 team you guys got, in all I'd way rather be in your division than mine.

Pshhh it would suck to be in that division! I mean I guess you can be proud to play in the best V league or something but I'd much rather be in a weak V league (like I was last season) and quickly move up to IV. I agree with what everyone said though, get more depth and do a better job with game shape by giving your key players between 55-75 minutes per week.

I'm in a pretty tough D5 as well, not that crazy, but there are about 5 teams with a legit shot to win it all and 2 or 3 more will be ready to compete next season, no teams are undefeated.

There should be another way to promote to D4 as I could be stuck here a while because I cant win the chip. I know an undefeated record MIGHT do it, but it seems if your ranking is high enough, then you should promote even if you dont win the chip. Especialy when they clean all the bots and dead teams out of D4

And who should be kicked out of D4 to accommodate these "great" D5 teams that can't earn their way like they should? Those teams who won their relegation series but have the worst records?

Your last sentence is exactly what already happens - at the end of a season, all the bot teams that haven't already relegated down to D5 (which may not be that many) are cleaned out and replaced with teams from D5 with the best records. The argument of "I keep coming in second so I should be promoted" could be made at any of the levels, and it makes no sense for any of them, including D5.

That is not accurate. The teams that win the regular season title in a division are promoted over second place teams from the other division with better records. If you do some checking, you will see that division champs with worse records than the second place team in the other division get promoted, while the second place team with a better record stays put. So unless you win the regular season or playoffs, you are doomed to stay in D V, even if you have the second best record in your League.

His response to the earlier poster is still correct: there is already a mechanism in place by which d.IV bot teams (that weren't already scheduled for demotion) are replaced by non-championship winning d.V teams. It's kind of nit picking to say that particular statement is inaccurate, because it's pretty obvious he wasn't trying to lay out the mechanics of bot promotion, he was just giving a general "there's already a mechanism to promote some of the better D.V teams that missed out on traditional promotion."

So unless you win the regular season or playoffs, you are doomed to stay in D V, even if you have the second best record in your League

And why is this a problem? If over multiple seasons you repeatedly can't manage to win either the playoffs or your own division's regular season, do you really deserve to promote? (The idea that d.IV is somehow chock-full of bots is outdated.)

The issue is he was misleading people by saying the best records get promoted first. As I corrected, that is not always the case.

There is too much bad information given out in the forums that even small errors need to be corrected as soon as possible, lest they become accepted as gospel.
