....Offenflow is important for getting good oppurtunities to score, a team with bad offense score would take more difficult shots.

Does it mean that offensive flow is determened primarily by the overal passing skill of the team roster?

especially passing from the PG and a it less important from the SG and SF the influence from the big men is not so high.

But i think the handling and driving have also an influence on this, but i can't say it exactly maybe someone with more knowledge could say you more.

About 50% pg 30% sg 20% SF.

when a team plays 1-3-1 does that mean the PF's contribution is also added to the Perimeter defense rating?

has anyone examples of the difference in rebounding when they have played 3v2 vs when they played 1-3-1?

any links to games where 1-3-1 has been used would be great...

if the 1-3-1 is anything like in real life then the PF positions himself at the free throw line with the point guard in front of him. i don't think that counts as perimeter defense but it is definitely further out than he would normally play.

sorry excuse my ignorance... i am toying whether to play this later or not... advantages are higher perimeter defence... downside is RB loss.... is the gain and loss equally balanced in your opinion or would i be sacrificing more ID/RB for the sake of just a little extra OD

you would be sacrificing more ID/RB as 4 of your players will be closer to the perimeter.

so to play 1-3-1 effectively you need to have a big mismatch in skills from both teams... 1 team must be totally guard dominant with no inside threat to worry about...the other team i suppose must have enought ID/RB to take care of whatever is necessary inside the paint then can gang up to try and reduce the point tally of the opps guards...

cheers

I think that is the theory that is behind it, but I think the mechanism (the calculation of the ratings) works diffrently.
Instead of splitting up your team in PG - SG/SF/PF - C, and take the first 2 groups for outside defense calculation. I think the team is always taken as a whole, and outside as well as inside def is calculated the exact same way every time (see rules: outside D: guards weighted heavily,...). Then depending on your tactic these ratings get adapted. If you choose 1-3-1, your outside D will get a decent booze, but your inside D rating will get a penalty, as will your rebounding.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

I think my outside D is getting too much booze as it is. Some tips to make them less tipsy would be appreaciated.
