I should add I only noticed after writing the last post that your guards are actually not that good at all so it won't cost you much to focus on big fellas instead if you have to. So much the case that in the draft you should draft the best player available, if it happens to be a center then pick him. What to do or not to do really depends on the situation.

I would stick with team training and do free throw / stamina until you get your draftees. Its only for a couple weeks and you can't simply flip your team in a day. Cutting down to 8/9 and allowing room for draftees will still give you at least 8/9 pops which could help. Go for the same type of guys in the draft either small or big (I'm not sure if you have enough time to get 10 points to do the ''scouting combine'' in the draft which lets you see the height of the players) If so, whichever you choose you will then have 3 young guys for 1 position training. I also agree that defense is the most important skill to train. Which ever positions you choose not to train try to get some older quality guys. The older they are the cheaper they are and you can usually find serviceable guys until you have the money to replace them, or start training in that area.

You right about the FT/Stamina training i didn't think that deep
