I'm not sure if the handling plays a role in rebounding (wouldn't be awkward if it did) but yes I've noticed many occasions where players grab the ball but goes out of bounds. I was watching yesterday's first league game and I at least saw 5 of those happening to me AND to the other team. It was something I've never seen before.

I've seen it quite a bit lately, and sometimes a defensive rebound after a missed free throw goes out of bounds. It happens like once a season in real life..

It happens way more than once a season. Every game has 4 or 5 or rebs go out of bounds. Nest time you watch an NBA game, keep count.

Yes i understand the part on making the game more realistic so that the rebounds go right out of bounds

The problem here is it seem that on the whole my team only had 28 rebounds which means its not just the random one that went out of bounds but quite a number of them where my team was unable to get the rebound.

In contrast, my opponent had more than double the rebounds I had. Under the old game engine, this never happened where one team doubled the rebounds of the other. Even in real life NBA, it is ab extremely unlikely scenario

I like the change, as I hope it will bring down the rebounding figures to somewhat realistic numbers.

However I think it is still bugged, because I was always awarded with the next possession when a ball went out of bounds after one of my players missed a shot.

Yeah...there are these problems too...

No disrespect to the BBs but you'd expect bugs like these to be ironed out in the testing phase before making it onto the live system.

That does seem very strange. 59-28 is a massive margin, especially since your opponent played a 3-2 zone. Maybe there have been some changes beyond the 'out of bounds rebounds'. Or your forwards just had a really bad night on the glass.

I agree! They test it for 3 season (I think) in scrimmage games and they didn't correct it. Now its irritating. Why did they release it when not working properly.
