I have used both offensive ones and defensive ones....
First inside isolation...while playing this your players with better inside shot isolate against their defender down low to try and score. If they have bad IS shot though ive notice they stand out along the three point line in case of a pass out. If your guy isolated down low cant get his own shot he will pass it out along the arc and then it seems to be played like a motion as your players will pass it around. There seems to be quite a few threes takin in this but if you have a beast down low that might be different. My team ratings seem pretty good with this.
Outside Iso..i dont particularly like this one. Your best player is supposed to isolate himself outside but ive noticed most of the time it is your SF or SG so make sure they have good shooting, driving, and handling. The sometimes like to penetrate and if they cant make a shot for themselves they will kick it out to the open player and they will take the open shot.
Outside box and 1....this defense is decent but i still believe man to man works better. I believe the few time i use this my rebounding numbers seem to be down. It is pretty decent though for outside defense if your PF and C can play decent OD as well because they seem to help guard the corners.
Inside box and 1....my inside defense gets pretty decent ratings with this..especially against a team with inside focus, becauae they seem to bunch up down low along with your best ID player guarding their best inside shooter. The rebounding seems pretty decent with this one. About the same as if you play man to man
Im still experimenting with these tactics and ill let you know if i find something new.
