So if your team is still alive in the Cup today, that makes you one of the final how many teams?

I wish there was a way to see how many D5 teams are still left right now. Is there an easy way?

There is not an easy way, but you can look through this: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/country/1/cup.aspx

You can always figure the number out by using the equation p = 2^(13-c), where p represents the number of participants left and c signifies your number of cup wins. In this case, 2^10 = 1024.

I live in KY, and we don't know math like that.

If you want to add 2 plus 2, or even 4 plus 4, we've got that covered. But as soon as you add a letter of the alphabet into math, you can count us out :)

Great, so my team is one of the final 1024. That means I'm doing something right with my team, because in the history of my franchise, only one time has the team been higher than 2048, and that was in Season 1, when my team was one of the final 256. But I suspect that during that year, there were less teams overall, which made it easier to be one of the final 256. Anyone know how many teams there were in year one?

Much less. I know that I got a team in Season 2 and was placed in II, which would likely mean the number of active users was under 80.

Looks like season 1 had 1024 teams. Season 3 they switched to 4096. Season 14 was the first with 8192.

He said "active users" not total teams counting bots an all.

Go back one more post:

Hrudey's reply was in reference to this.

I was simply adding a bit to his response.

Well I need to follow the advice, "read more, post less" on the message boards I guess!

I did read that post, but it was before I read the new posts and I didn't remember the context. My apologies.

We all know reading and math shouldn't be on the internet.
