The best method is one or two postition training anything like team training or 3position just takes to long to get pops

in the long term i'm going to end up with 15 average players wheras with 1 position i end up with 3 stars who could contribute more?

Correct. The 15 players you train over 3 years I could buy on the transfer list for 500k combined, whereas the 3 players you 1 position train should bring in more than that EACH. I don't think there is a single case in BuzzerBeater where team training proved to be effective. I wouldn't advise an attempt to be the first with so little experience.

I would suggest picking a position to train, C and PG are the easiest because you don't have to play them out of position to train, and fill the rest of your roster with serviceable veterans. 12-13 guys maximum for your whole roster. 9 will play during regular league play and have a couple scrubs to soak up minutes in your scrimmage.

Edit: Your 21 year old players are AT BEST backups on your squad. Just too many low skills. The Center isn't bad, but I would suggest selling him because you probably won't get maximum value out of him. I think you should stick to all-star / perennial all-star potential players at first to reduce the amount you spend on trainees. They will be more than effective enough for you if you train them well.

Hey dude

I know its tough to hear, but seriously, both Castles and Pumphry are not worth training. The reasons for this is as follows:
a) training is slower for a 21 year old compared to an 18 year old.
b) A $5k salary player who gets a few more pops is still going to only be maybe $6k or $7k salary player, which, is just not worth it.

So really, what im trying to say is the value and reward that you will get from training those guys, is minimal. I know ur attached, and, that does happen, but you will just have to get over it for the benefit of your progression. Maybe keep one as a backup and at best, he can get suppplimentary/secondary training over the next few seasons

With training, you've assumed correctly. one positoin training is always better. With the exception being Rebounding and some other methods, which you can only train at two positions. Id suggest doing some reading up on this in the other forums about training speed, effectiveness, etc just to get you up to speed on this.

Hey,

Thanks for all the advice, i've decided to try and cash in on Dure, see what i get in the draft(think there are at least 6 pretty good players in the draft so should get at least 1 good guy, + pick up another trainee and then train the other 2 as secondary trainees and use them as role players. I've got a much bigger income than league average so gonna spend one more season building stadium and then see where i am.

Thanks again for the advice.
