i am sorry to say but his team is much better than yours. If i was you i would play low post or patient n play a 3-2 like you're doing. His offense is considerably better than your defense there is no way around it. A 1-3-1 would create a lot of second chances through rebounds.

good thing is that he usually plays the same tactics.......FCP and Motion..........I tricked him by playing N for the first and now 2/3 will be POCT........Hope with luck that I can do this.......I'm always optimistic............
