Yea I don't like it, first off the Lakers are already old at the core positions and don't need someone who's going to cost alot and not get them a ring, and have only 2-3 years left. What the Lakers need is a young PG like D-Will that can adjust to taking over Kobey's role as the key player, whereas Nash is used to being the "star" player.

IDK what happening in the NBA, all crazy mess, Rockets can't get a dime or a player. Nash is going to LA. Now Jason Terry goin to the Cs. Beasley coming to Phoenix. Crazy mess.

Overall it makes the Lakers better, and they were able to make good use of the trade exception they picked up from the Odom trade. It's been a long time since the Lakers had a legitimate point guard, but just my initial thoughts, going to be interesting to see how Nash adapts with Kobe/Bynum. Seems like a good fit with Gasol, but not sure how hard the Lakers will be shopping him this summer.

Ever since Nash went to Phoenix, I don't think there's been a player who's had the ball in his hands more than Nash, maybe with exception to CP3. Bynum's game is different from Amare, Bynum doesn't really set screens early in the shot clock, slip/roll to the basket, run the floor, or hit a jumper regularly from the high-post. Maybe I'm judging this too much off that short stint with Shaq. Of course, then there's always Kobe.

Then there's other questions for the Lakers, does acquiring Nash put an end to their trade talks with Orlando for Dwight? Does this move make Dwight want to come to the Lakers instead of Brooklyn?

mhjr22 makes a good point about Mike Brown, Kobe, and their offense. It's going to have to be addressed behind closed doors, with all the related parties and Nash.

IMO, this move in itself doesn't really propel the Lakers ahead of the Thunder or Spurs, when it comes to the postseason. There's always the possibility of a domino effect later though. Anyways, just my two cents shortly after hearing about the trade.

Overall the team gets better, no doubt... Although a young PG like DWill would be much better, it's not easy to get em, it's tough to know what they are still planning for trades...

There's no use for Sessions now, so he's likely to be traded... The Lakers might still be going after D12, but would prolly have to give up Bynum another young guy, instead of Gasol who would be much better for the Lakers... There's the whole age problem, but no matter what it's a better team already than last season...
