Not sure how much, but own draftees give even more merchandise.. also training players from your own nationality helps your NT in the long run, instead of a different country :)

Maybe I should stop training my USA trainee so well :p

What if you buy a player and he is from another country but gets placed in the NT. Do you still get an increase in Merch?

i think i can help a bit in this topic.. last year i sold out all my foreigner players and bought local players..

before sale my merchandise was between 18000 and 21000. after that move it jumped to 35000, and now is 40000. i have only one foreign player (trainee). my league average is 28000.

hmmmmm..........that what I was thinking. At least have all of my starters local then have the backups be foreign......

I think the best way to approach this is just treat the extra merchandise income like a reduction in salary when searching for new players. So if you are trying to decide between a native and non-native on the transfer list, for a USA D4 team I would deduct around 2k from the native player's salary and then compare them like normal.

The only difference is that other managers won't consider this deduction in salary when you sell the player (or more precisely the amount they will consider this deduction is small and proportional to country size).
