Passing probably positively affects shot selection, because hes never forced into anything

This is not entirely true. Say for instance the shot clock is running down, and he has to shoot the ball or get a shot clock violation. Wouldn't he have to force the shot?

That depends. If he has low passing, he may hold on to the ball too long. A player with higher passing should be able to get rid of the ball before he's in that situation.

No, what I meant was something like this: The player with good PA is passed the ball with 1 second left on the shot or game clock. He would have to force it then, wouldn't he?

Personally don't think so. It's not related to the positions you asked on, but my SF Marcel Marrinan has popped 4 levels in passing this season, and he's shooting the ball really the same number of times as the past 3-4 seasons (when you account for the difference in MPG). Likewise, if you look at my team from last season- my PF Issac Alamo had 1 passing (and 0 assists the entire year) and wasn't shooting the ball much more than Callao or Quinlan, my other two C/PF with much better PA. And Alamo was a matchup nightmare for other defenses as well (14/8 JS/JR, with high DR and IS as well).
