like if scrimmages had any kind of importance besides training.
At least he showed up with 3 players and didn't forfeit

Playing against 3 man lineups would be ideal. Most likely it will be a blowout and blowouts are great for managing minutes.

It's ideal with the exception that lucky fans are more likely to injure your players due to their high aggressiveness level. In that sense, I'd prefer to play against a full lineup in every scrimmage, even if that means I lose.
The Win or Loss doesn't matter, but injuries can matter a lot since they can impact your next league games.
