but it is not hard to be done, it is only a query to DB, select matches where teama = A and teamb = B ...

The point is that you would need a (somewhat elegant) UI, such that you are not selecting two teams from a long list of 40,000. Which is probably why the feature is not "officially" supported.

Why not have a couple of boxes. You can enter a different team ID in each and then itll compare the two, rather than doing it in the URL

Something like that would probably be enough, you could perhaps have those boxes on the rivalry history page. Perhaps just duplicate the Search page functions for teams. The current UI for the history is just a link from the team page, which does not translate well into selecting two teams.

@grullo: Unfortunately, this "cool" design would not be (somewhat elegant) but at least usable.

Or maybe a link on the match page, which means that you still have to put in the effort to find at least one time the two teams have played but not require manual entry.
