yeah, voter turnout was a positive thing. Bit dissapointed with debate though. Not many people inputting their opinions

Closed due to the election ending.

There migh not be any after the ASB, but we can see the effects at the club level still. kozlik got 18 votes so it was close, got a lot more to prove this term..

club level is completely different since you have small amount of players available and there is usually disbalance in skills, unless we are talking BBB/championship teams. I would still grant him access to off-site forum though

I am pretty sure I explained why I didn't run in this elections and I think it take more guts to admit your own lack of skill/experience and step aside than just to enter your name.

And here is a definition of a debate for you: A formal discussion on a particular topic in a public meeting or legislative assembly, in which opposing arguments are put forward.
Dont know how I prevented any debate by inputing my own opinion since I am pretty sure thats what debate is all about. But of course you are entitled to express your opinion as well, and I am not hurt by it at all. Just dont agree that only candidates should have a word and rest of users got to shut up and ask a question once in a while

It was to point out lack of experience in using other tactics at that level (your club team never reached highest level), which although was enough for this term (LI/m2m was the best choice), and thats why I said that I understand the results of last election, but looking at the changes which are about to be implemented they wont be enough for next term. Of course we can stick to the same thing, become predictable, win with weaker teams, lose with stronger and stay where we are, you can stay a manager and experiment (NT isnt for that), or we can go with kozlik for this term and try to go for it all (and either achieve something, or possibly fail miserably)

I think the opposite of what you're saying is actually true. IF bballin was lacking in experience with the proper game tactics, he would have been playing tactics other than LI/MM as most managers have concluded that these are the best tactics to play and they fit the players on the NT.

Bringing up future changes that will happen 1 season from now is unfair too because nobody here including yourself, myself, Kozlik and bballin knows exactly what differences those future changes will have on the game so I don't see where having more past experience is a great advantage in something we've yet to experience.

come on now. It doesnt take much to figure out that LI was (is) the strongest up to this point.

And regarding future changes: if LI will still be dominant then you got a point, but what happens if suddenly we have to use RnG,isolations, PtB, motion? Dont you think that having more previous experience with those tactics would be a huge advantage?

But you're basing your argument on a hypothetical, it's tough to criticize somebody based on something that hasn't even happened yet. That's all I'm saying.

Plus does having Naismith experience really give you, I or most of the managers on that level a huge advantage playing those other tactics? We both play LI in any important match right? I think the last time I truly experimented with other tactics on a game to game basis was in D3 and I'm betting that your situation isn't much different. Plus if they do make changes to the game engine we'll all be experimenting to see how those changes will have an effect on games.

Well, we are speculating here who would be better in upcoming seasons. I am not criticizng anyone, jus tsaying that in my poinion kozlik has much more experience and that in this term it could be worth a lot.

And although I am not playing different tactics as much as I would like, I did play it couple of times and learned more in Naismith then I did in all lower leagues combined, thanks to having better players and more options available.

But dont you agree that a person knowing more tactics, and more about those tactics will have significant advantages over others? We had a chance to take a risk and gain that advantage but community chose security, and that is completely fine. Doesnt mean I have to agree with it since I wanted to take a risk. 2nd place is a 1st loser

Tactics are tactics, there are 10 different offensive schemes and 7 different defensive schemes. On the national team level, how many of these tactics are used? Maybe ~3 on Offense and ~2 on D. It doesn't take a 'Rocket Surgeon' to figure this shit out. Where a true National Team Rep earns is value is doing the community stuff, not only do Canadian Team Reps manage the tactics, but they manage and promote the community as well.

This is where Bballin has almost everyone beat, and he has shown to be an active and positive community member, and well as a great advocate for the managers of Canadian Buzzerbeater. I proudly voted for him.

Didn't participate in or read debate. Voted Bballin. He's just one of the most well-liked users whose done fine tactically (grown since his U21 stint) and goes beyond his means with community and team development efforts.

So, sorry to Kozlik, who is clearly capable of managing the roster and line-up just as effectively. You're just unknown. I think after 2 legit campaigns he should be up for consideration of an offsite invitation, though. Worst case, he runs away when he sees the inactivity lol.
