I've also found it seems to take away more minutes when the player is playing way out of position - I've been training some bigs at PG, and they get subbed out for guards way more often than I used to have players sub out when they were playing in a much more appropriate position relative to their skills.

I am aware that the coach subs out players during a blowout, but I thought he only does it during the last 2 minutes of a game for trainees during free throws, not with 6+ minutes left. The out of position thing might explain why it happens to this player a lot and not to my guard trainees. But if that's normal, it really screws up out of position training even more if your guy has a regular chance of missing 4 minutes.

The he can do some funny things in a blowout. 2 seasons ago I had my trainee subbed out and subbed back in during a free throw so he got 48 minutes instead of 48+.

I was wondering if it's normal if my trainee gets subbed halfway through the 4th quarter when I'm 100% I got my lineup set up to get him 48 minutes (8 active players, starter/backup/reserve, SFDC, let them play, no injury). I'm aware that trainees get subbed in the last 2 minutes of a blowout and you can't do anything about it, but it's happened 4 times this season that my trainee gets subbed when there's between 4 and 6+ minutes left in the 4th.

I have 3 trainees to whom I give single position training to each week and most weeks all 3 of them get 48 minutes.

I play 7 players with the 2 players on the bench being back ups for 2 positions each.

As long as my trainee has at least high inept stamina, he will get 48 minutes even in the event of a blow out

Not always true, my friend. The "coach" can substitute even with your rigid parameters. I believe that BB does this to make it more difficult for guys to get their 48+ minutes in one game.

In refection I should have used different words such as "from my experience"

In blow out games where fouling out is not a problem, of my 3 trainees only Ryder who has the lower stamina has had problems getting his 48 minutes when I line up with 7 players in strictly follow depth chart.

No, what you said was good for you. I just know that using these same strict parameters does not always result in the "perfect" results for everybody, regardless of score or stamina.

Are you training them out of position? Because it happens almost always for my PF when I train him in a guard spot. I'm really at loss as for how to train his secondaries, as every time I play him at PG to train his passing he gets only 42 minutes. Does anyone have an idea how to get around this?

Well there is an easy solution but it depends on where your team is situated and what your objectives are for the season, as to how palatable this solution is.

Only play 5 players
