I have an advanced trainer. I'll have the top pick in the next draft so these two may not be the focus next season, but they are a nice backup plan if I draft a dud.

Ok, assuming a level 4 coach, training them together will be next to impossible to get them to SF and PF. You are looking at trying to get 14/14 OD/ID for SF, in order to do this the PF will end up with OD about 12 and not have sufficient training time for his inside stats. You end up after 8 seasons of training with:

Brian at 8/10/14-9/13/8-11/14/10/3
Bellamy at 11/6/12-12/6/5-16/15/14/6

If you trained just one of them, you could achieve in 7 seasons of training

Solo Brian towards SF at 13/11/14-8/12/8-12/14/4/3 (even with 8 seasons he cant really be pushed much higher and you are sacrificing rebounding, shot blocking and movement skills, plus his JS and IS isn't high enough)

Solo Bellamy towards PF at 7/3/8-12/7/5-16/16/15/9 (or any variation of the inside stats, a tidy PF)

Solo Brian towards SG at 15/13/17-13/16/11-9/10/4/2 (a reasonable SG)

You can see that you are only going to get the most out of them if you train them separately. The level 4 trainer over time makes a difference, increasing that will speed up the benefits of training. I'd agree with Tata that your best option is Bellamy towards PF - he doesn't quite train to SF level, I had a good play around and couldn't graft him in that direction without leaving big holes in rebounding and passing. You could consider training Brian towards SG or even PG where you can drop some of the shooting in favour of more OD and PA.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Vecx for some nice info. You're right about needing to separate them to get the best out of their potential, but I am a returning manager and would like to build a homegrown team as much as possible this time around. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what my new draftees look like, I'm getting impatient for the scouting list to appear haha.

I probably won't keep him long term but this is my "third" trainee:
Ross Strange
Age: 19
Height: 6'6" / 198 cm
Potential: allstar

Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: average Handling: average
Driving: strong Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: inept
Rebounding: awful Shot Blocking: strong
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: atrocious

I like him too, if I were you I would work the defense training first, they tend to be the best base to build a team from.

I won't make a new thread for this but I think it's pretty cool. I just made my first ever purchase, a solid English guy. I checked his transfer history and career stats, and he was drafted by... me?! Or the team I "inherited" rather, so I still count as fully homegrown I guess haha. He then played for Da Bombs, where he won an EBBL and Cup title.

Having a look at his player history and he also played for a greek team from my private league and played in italy against a different team from my private league.

Pretty weird coincidence. He's certainly got around a bit!

That is cool. Such a weird coincidence that he ends up on the team who drafted him, years before you were even here. Just having an EBBL and Cup winner on your team would be cool.

Its like he's gone home lol.

Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: respectable

Paul Blake

Inside Shot: pitiful Inside Def.: atrocious
Rebounding: pitiful Shot Blocking: atrocious
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: strong

Dwight Huizenga
Weekly salary: $ 2 501
Age: 18
Height: 6'4" / 193 cm
Potential: allstar

Jump Shot: inept Jump Range: respectable

Paul Blake could be an U21 guy in the right hands so might be best to sell him?

It really depends what you want from the players like better short term, better long term, good resale value, do you want to train guard skills, forward skills or both..

A few of them look really useful but whatever you decide my advice would be to just train three
