You have 3 options:
1) Train lower potential players, you don't need expensive coach, level 3 will do, and don't worry about missed minutes and injuries.
2) Train two important trainees, and a whatever third one.
3) Train two players, which is intended by game design anyway. You don't suffer from 48 min low ratings, and don't have minutes problems..
4) Deal with it :)
