This is a curious case. Seems like your 5 starters are all foul prone.

How's your defense, compared to your leaguemates? It would be nice if those foul prone players also have some defensive bonus.

Isn´t SB a way to previne fouling at high rates?

No SB does not "prevent" fouling, everything is relative. This guy (31801722) has got more than 17 SB, now that he faces better competition (solid D2 -> D1), his foul count increased again.

I will need to assess if there is a significant number of non-shooting fouls or other patterns when I train him out of position (and switch him to defend a big men).

My defense compared to most of my teammates, is at least as good, probably better.
So yes these foul prone starters probably all have a defensive bonus most of the time against most other players they play against in competition.

Is there a way i could lower the fouls committed by my players ? For example, by training a certain skill which could help in committing less fouls ? Anything at all ?

Or am i just extremely unlucky that i seem to have all agressive players, and is there nothing i can do about it ?

Training defense might help a little, but aggressive players will still commit more fouls (and IIRC, draw more fouls too).

In the end all you can do is replace the aggressive players. Sad but true.
Or ... since you foul a lot and the opponent gets a lot of free throws, maybe you could improve your free throw defense, eh?

I have some aggressive players. I noticed that after a couple of FT trainings the rate of fouling out dropped. Also experience in the long way helps.

Also it looks that when a player plays against a better or a much worser opponent they foul more. Also in some zone defenses I have a lot more fouls.

So there is no real solution I believe, except making sure that when the back-up comes in you don't lose too much.

That makes absolutely no sense.

But at the same time that would be soooooo BB. Maybe you found the solution.
