Ahh ok. I havn't scouted in forever but i'm sure someone can give you some good advice.

I'd use 10 pts to Interview the class. [to determine 18yos]

Then use 10 pts on On The Ball then 10 more on Cut Inside [to determine the OD and ID of all the 18yos]

Then double scout all the 18yos that had high enough OD/ID combos for my targeted training. [I don't want to train a 7'2" big with 1 OD and 1 ID... even if he's an ATG cause he'll never reach hi potential IMHO]

If you don't target enough you could scout a few 19yos with elite OD/ID combos too {I'd only target those with 13+ total in both categories}

Sort by potential from that point.

Spend 50 points to get all of their skills.

At that point, you also will know many of their ages, since only the 19 year-olds will have any skill at strong. It is possible for a 19 year-old to have no skills at strong, but the majority seem to have at least 1.

Then scout & interview (total of 3 points per player) those you want to find out more about. You could interview up to 16 players, with 2 scouting points remaining.

Alot of it depends on your goal. If you are specifically looking for an 18 year old or a player of a certain height than do the scouting combine so you can get that information and hone your search on those specific players.

If there are over 10 one or two ball prospects that fit your criteria, use the group demonstration. If you don't care about age or height, you will probably definitely want to do this. If there are less than 10 than it makes more economic sense just to scout each player for one point instead of using the group demo.

Scout all of the remaining 3-5 ball prospects that fit your criteria for 1 point.

Now that you have a more accurate assessment of their skills, I would go in and interview all of the 5 ball prospects for 2 points and hopefully you have a couple of great 5/5 or 5/4 guys to put on top of your draft order.

You accumulate points all season... and you can carryover unused ones. I've had over 100 previously... I burned a lot when I demoted but I still have a a bunch and it looks like I'm not going to spend much outside of sorting 18yos and then just play the draft pick lotto from there.

Hey friends, I accumulated 100 scouting points and was wondering whats the best way to use them scouting the draft. Thanks in advance

1. Scout once all players (39 points).
2. Interview all players with 5 balls.
(2b). Interview all players with 4 balls.
3. Save unused points for next seasons.
