That is definitely a great idea. I totally support it! I always had the feeling that the salary floor was way too low and in my Utopia team (during the first seasons), I had great trouble to sell enough 3k players from my starting roster in order to be close to it. Even now, I'm only about 20k over the salary floor (div. IV), but have one of the top 5 salaries in my league if I remember correctly. But the team with the top salary has about 40k more than I do - so I wouldn't even have the chance to promote if I wanted to try. I guess the whole league would gain from competitiveness if the salary floor was lifted as suggested bei Perpete!

I don't think this would help new teams to catch up, as "tanking" in the first few seasons is the best way to catch up faster later on.

Adding cheap, but old high salary players does not help too, as those guys just mean negative assets. If the raised salary floor was connected to some other change, targeted towards new teams (even larger arenas to start with, higher subsidies, whatever), I'd welcome such a change.

As we have a huge problem in retaining new users, the already existing obstacles to have an easy and carefree start should not be raised even more.

Well, you need around 6-7 million to finish your arena - that should be done as fast as possible and I doubt a newbie can do it in four seasons. I don't know about DIV IV and lower, but in DIV III the big arena was a big factor for me to catch up/overtake established teams.

If we only want to target tanking teams, there are other ways to hit them - and I don't see the difference between losing on purpose with a bit more expensive roster than it is to now.

In my situation a higher floor would only cost me 700k a week, effectively I would "only" make 2.8 million a season, while comfortly sitting on the second place in my division. With a bit more salary I'd be in the same place, not really a punishment though.

I think the economy has peaked and we don't need drastic countermeasures to deflate again. Maybe in a few seasons this could be a change worthwile to look at.

I built mine to 18,500 in my first 4 seasons. Spent 1.2 mill on trainees and a little under a million buying a couple lv5 trainees in the same time period. Currently making just short of $190000 a week in div 3. That's 60k short of how much I used to make with my old team tanking in div 2 before there was a salary floor. Way too much income in the game these days.

As for new teams and people fearing they would be affected by it. Well, I propose to give them a year of salary floor exoneration. If that's not enough to adapt, I don't know

There is no salary floor for the first 14 weeks currently ;)

Yes, and I propose to extend it.

Yeah I think it could easily be doubled without running into problems with people tanking. That's still only a two season head start.

I don't think salary floor should be increased for lower divisions. In these divisions being lower than the salary floor does not mean you are tanking. My team is currently at half the floor and second in the conference. Granted its mostly a bot filled division and the top teams are above the salary floor, but my main focus is training right now and as it stands, I'm already not making much money per week so raising the floor would just make it harder for teams like mine to promote.

Maybe, if they go ahead and raise the salary floor, they could include trainers salary to determine if a team is below the salary floor. This could help encourage training.
