I had a similar error in this game:

(89144672)

Mcdermott set as starting SF

Jackson set as substitute

Rivlin set as reserve

Pattern was Strictly follow depth chart

McDermott plays all 36 minutes of first 3 quarters. 4th quarter is GT. 1st player off the bench is Rivlin, who plays more minutes in the 4th than Jackson.

3rd choice PF gets almost as many minutes as second choice SF. Managing with GT is bad enough. When coach doesn't follow instructions, it's even worse.

Garbage time does favor bad players. I think this was coded like that intentionally.
