A bit of a mixed bag with this GS update...
Barrero Valverde, Sutter and Beauchemin are out for now, which means we are lacking some depth on the inside, and our main SG as well. I'll contact their owners tonight, that's something we need to address.
9 players called up for Monday, hopefully it will be enough as Romania GS is not that great in their current lineup

First game, first loss despite their starting PF getting injured after 1min.
Rouillard not that great, but he's a way better backup than starter, as been this way since I'm the NT coach. We desperately need Barrero Valverde back.
Jarvis was also dominated by their starting PG which is odd looking at the GS and DMI, I was not expecting that one.
Madiar did the job, Burimenko strong as usual, and Cockayne paid the price of his poor GS and the lack of backup (only 1 backup big).
At least we saved enth which is good for the rest of the season, but we now have only two "free" losses remaining, not that great. At least we can only improve from now on!

F***** Berrero Valverde owner went bot today, no wonder why he didn't answer his bb-mails... Is it me or there was a lot of botification occuring today?
We're in serious trouble. The only week in 3 seasons he's not on the roster...

Edit: I checked all the other players on the short list at the beginning of this thread (that's a pain in the a** to do), everyone is safe for now. I added all the ones of the "will probably make it list".
We have 6 spots left for the 12 other players. I want to keep one free just in case, so that means 5 spots available to choose between all 12.
I note the GS/minutes of these player every week, it will play a major role in the final selection in 2 weekly updates.

That new NT Scout online is great, has a botification date column.

A very important win yesterday for the NT against Turkey, that could mean a qualification for the second round of the consolation tournament, unless we screw up in the last 3 games against supposedly lesser teams...

Our GS was exceptionnal this week, with 11 players at GS9, a first during my tenure as NT coach! And in the usual starters, only Jarvis was out due to his poor GS. His manager won't answer my bb-mails and have him play 3 games a week... hopefully it will get better in 2-3 weeks.

As you can see, our roster is now complete with 18 players, with the selection of Gawlas for yesterday game. This means a fierce competition even to make it on the lineup each week, and GS is an important part of the selection. Keep up the good work!

Yeah, saw the result. Good job! Important bounceback after rough start to the season. Get that HCA!

Yeah the game against Romania was weird, don't know why they normaled. Same for Slovenia who has a better team than us...
Usually it takes a 5-3 record to go to the playoffs, so we're still on track. I was theoretically possible without winning against Turkey, so now we have a slightly bigger margin of error. If GS remains the same I'm confident we can do something

Good morning everyone.
Part 1 of the consolation tournament went as expected, with a bonus win against Turkey. Gameshape was more than good for the first part of the season, congrats to all the managers for that, it made a big difference.
Now we need to focus on the playoffs, with a very bumpy road ahead. Our first opponent is Slovenia, with a really strong team (just go take a look at their roster...!) with really good gameshape. And if that wasn't enough, the winner of the game will probably face #1 seed Germany with its perfect record.
We played once against Slovenia this season (41604), let's try to do better this time! Our focus is still to bring next season America's championship to Canada, which means we need to go further than any other american team. Chile was ahead of us for 1 point in the ranikngs, so a win is mandatory in the first game, even if all other american teams lose.

To all managers with a NT player, please be especially careful with minutes this week, we need as much player as possible with GS 8 or 9 to even have a chance of winning the first game. The next few weeks are crucial, or all would have been for nothing!

Yeah, I think that's the right term, but at least we got HCA for the first game ;)

Here is the situation: 4 american teams in the playoffs : Chile (15), Canada (16), Brasil (27) and Mexico (30)

The last team standing hosts the next America's championship. In the event of multiple teams eliminated at the same round, seeding determines who gets it. So we need to go one round further than Chile, and we can lose in the same round as Brasil and Mexico.

Chile plays Makedonia in the first round, a strong team with really good GS so far, but so does Chile. It will be a tossup, of all the american teams, I think they have the best chance of making it to the next round.

Brasil plays Bulgaria, a well rounded team, but with some important players with poor GS. Brasil played the worlds 2nd chance tournament, that's why they are seeded that low. They lost against Chile in the first stage (in Chile mind you), and they play on the road, won't be easy but a win is possible if they don't get too cocky (happened in the past).

Mexico plays @Israel, the strongest team of the bunch, with a slightly worse GS than Bulgaria. I don't really see how Mexico can win that one unless someone in Israel screws up. They also played the 2nd chance tournament, which cost them the HCA for the first game of the playoffs...
