My memory might be shady, but if I remember correctly Cletus already managed NT at one point, give him a chance. It is better to ask than fail quietly.

If you felt like there weren't any qualified candidates, you could have stepped up and throw your name in there

that was a very ironic post =)
He was in charge of the U21 for a long time and took it to quite high levels, I know very well who he is, I had the pleasure of being his successor when he first retired from NT duties
