after 10 seasons this should not matter. I would even argue 4 or 5 seasons is enough to clear this inability to buy former second team player.

I will add that if someone decides to plan 10 season ahead, almost 2 Real Life years, to buy back a player just to cheat in a basketball game he should not be banned but helped, if possible, by a "world-renowned" Doctor.

Yes. Also his qualities can be changed a lot in 10 seasons. You cannot control how the other team(s) train him
