I did a full tear down and bought 3 HOF 18 year olds on my Utopia team - it's a lot of fun.

As for canada, I'm 11 seasons in and it's so hard to catch up to you old hats, you probably have massive $$. It might feel boring for you guys, but it's a grind for us poors haha.

Nah man, if you want to compete - you are pretty much broke all the time :D
And player's value deteriorates extremely fast, so those sustainable close to top of the table are unlikely to have tens of millions

I hear on the Discord server that some GMs have 15m-20m in the bank, and I just assume that's a natural outcome of playing 40+ seasons; that there's some sort of financial model that allows for that consistently. But maybe not. All I know is that I was 500k under water most of last season and I barely sustained .500 and didn't relegate

I try to save up, and then spend it all to make terribly unsuccessful runs in B3.
I'd recommend spending a few seasons filling up your reserves, it'll make it easier for whatever your goal is. This season in Naismith, it seems like everyone apart from Pszczyna is competing so it'll be hard to make much money in Naismith and avoid relegation. It's relatively easy in Div II to be near the salary floor and avoid relegation. And that usually gets you about $2 million a season if I remember correctly. Get some training in, and you can replenish your funds.

I suddenly feel much better about my -100k… although theoretically i could add salaries without going into a weekly deficit

the first half of the season with BBM and the tournament is easier on the deficit, after that it's all a matter of trying to win games to keep income high enough to make it to the end of the season hovering just above the -500k mark
